My Summary
About Me
Happy children and people in my care are my best reward.
Children of all ages, backgrounds and needs are my passion, my hobby and my line of work all my life.
I also enjoy helping out seniors and people in need generally.
I welcome any form of disability.
I'm a pet & animal lover.
My overall personality is being loving, caring, friendly, patient, compassionate, trustworthy, reliable and fun!
I bond with children & people in my care very easily and quickly and enjoy the returning of their trust & affection. Having a lasting friendship with their family is often a bonus.
I'm a 56 years young overall childcare professional & care provider with an extensive experience in all aspect of childcare. Due to my age, I have all the adoration & patience of a grandma, but with a cheeky, excitable & youthful personality.
I'm qualified Nursery school teacher with 4 years experience in the Czech Republic (classes of up to 25 children, aged 3-8 years old) 2,5 years in private nursery school in Poole, with an Outstanding result of an Ofsted inspection, while being in charge of a Pre-school class in 1999.
I'm a full Pediatric & Adult First-Aider, re trained annually.
In December '22 I've completed training sessions on Sign-along official sign language, which I teach the children at our school.
I have a clean driving licence, however I prefer not to car transport children / clients in my care unless extra car insurance is being provided.
My latest DBS Carer certificate for children and adults is from October '22.
I also have an ongoing School Environment DBS at my work place.
I am a GB national, living in the UK over 35 years. I've lived in London from 1990 and in Poole since 1997.
I have two daughters, one graduated with First class University honours in Biological Sciences and another that works in education with children 7-11 years.
My present jobs over the past 12 years at the same school has been a School Librarian and I'm also a part time class TA for groups with challenging behaviours and 1:1 support for a child with an intellectual disability.
I may message you back if I'm free on the requested date and if your job offer appeals to me.
Other than a member on this website, I'm also a valued & long time active babysitting member of another reputable, local, childcare agency.
Since August 2024 I've been private tutoring once or twice a week Year 4 Maths for a boy attending a private education.
I've now started occasional fun tutoring and homework lessons for his gifted younger sister, who's daily school work isn't challenging enough for her. My hourly tutoring fees are different and separate from babysitting. These will vary depending on child's needs and your specific request.
I'm seeking either occasional or repetitive jobs with local families. Child care provision, Junior school tutoring, homework, general caring, educating & support only. No cleaning or house work please.
So far, I have chosen 3 regular jobs from this site.
A weekly caring for and keeping a company to a disabled gentleman once a week, occasional helping a foster parent with a troubled teenager, occasional helping a mother with four children 9,8,3,2 & a newborn (£20 p/hr) and an occasional evening babysitting for now 2.5 old gorgeous boy. Love, love, love them all.
I have received - up to date - two COVID vaccinations, boosters and a flu jab. My overall health is good.
You can be assured that with me you will get only the best loving care available and your children will have an old fashion fun with me.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Valerie has been babysitting for me for two years now and has been terrific!
She is bubbly and kind and my son loves her. Valerie is very experienced and extremely capable and I trust her completely with the care of my disabled son.
She is always on time, and flexible in her approach and she is friendly and cheerful.
Valerie is adaptable and creative in finding ways to engage him as required.
I can heartily recommend her to any parent looking for a babysitter.

We’ve used this babysitters services twice now and both times have never felt so comfortable leaving our 19 month old with her. She is an absolute dream, going out of her way to ensure our child felt safe and loved while we had other commitments. She follows all instructions to a T and is so friendly and welcoming. We will happily have her back with open arms.
