About Me

Hey! I'm Molly, I am 19 years old and I have always had an interest in working with children. From a young age I have taken on childcare responsibilities for close family and friends. However, it was during my work experience, whilst in Year 11, within a Reception class at a local Primary Academy that I knew working with children is what I wanted to do! I have taken on the role as a carer for my younger sister who has special educational needs and this has given me vital skills and expriences in supporting a challenging child both physically and mentally. I am creative which has enabled me to think of new ways of working, to solve problems which has been vital when working with my sister as well as when at work, to keep everyone motivated and involved in an activity.
In my spare time, I like to be outside and always find fun, spontaneous activities to do! I am a kind, friendly, very nurturing and creative individual with enthusiasm, motivation and one bigg passion for supporting children,
especially those with additional needs, with all aspects of school and home life.
I have a keen desire to continue expanding upon my own learning and development. It is important to me, to think that I could have a positive impact on our future generation. Being able to provide the children in my care with
new opportunities and being a part of those first experiences in life, while also supporting their journey through childhood provides such a rewarding feeling. The idea of personally being able to change and nurture children to become confident, kind and compassionate is something that I have cherished immensely throughout my experiences within different Early Years settings. Throughout experience supporting professionals in different settings, I have been involved in communicating with parents and helping to resolve any complications or queries that might arise. This is where I began to understand the importance of confidentiality and professionalism. I have excellent communication skills and have had the opportunity to improve this by working in different retail environments. I also pride myself on punctuality and attendance, I always make sure that I am organised. My goals for the future are to apply to University to allow not only for career progression within the Childcare and Education sector but to
also develop my current skills and knowledge to better support the individual needs of every child. I then hope to become a fully qualified
Early Years Educator. I have already pursued a Level 3 qualification all with the intention of working in the Early Years sector and have
had a variety of different experiences working with children, all of which have helped me to develop transferable skills including:
communication, leadership, organisation, collaboration and working well under pressure. I have learnt how to observe and assess children so that I can plan for their individual needs. Being able to bring new experiences and knowledge into a child’s life to support them to become independent, empathetic, confident and motivated is something I aspire to achieve, I have gained so much from my previous experiences and I am keen to keep developing my knowledge in the future.

PS - I loveeee animals so I definitely would be excited to look after and pets too :)
