About Me
Hi I am Kim at Lavender house. I am excited to welcome you to my home. My childcare setting is based on a homely safe environment for your child to learn, laugh, smile and play.
I have a big heart and a lot of love to give.
I live with my husband and 2 children. My son is 14 years old he is very sociable, loyal and kind he has a great love for Rugby and football. My daughter is 8 years old, she is very sociable, theatrical and caring. She can't wait to make new friends within my new adventure as a childminder.
I will follow the (New EYFS Development matters) and will set out activities such as cooking, playdough, messy play, reading, lots of tray experiences all based on your child interests and extend these to provide new found loves and to prepare them for school.
We will be out and about at parks, farms, library visits, childminder play visits, local toddler groups, national trust parks and some days just at home doing what they love best.
My home is set out to learn independently, play with friends and still have the comfort and warmth of home to help your child settle in. I have a safe space upstairs for quiet or sleep time to continue with the daily routines at home.
I am open 7am - 6pm.
If your child is here before 8am I will provide breakfast for them a selection of cereal, toast and fruit with milk or water to drink.
During the day I encourage your child to bring their own packed lunch.
Donations for Morning & After school snacks always welcome.
If your child is staying after 5pm then a meal will be provided at an extra charge and all children will sit and eat together.
My setting closes at 6pm.

My Experience
I have worked in a nursery at Princess Royal Hospital since 2007 as a Nursery Practioner looking after children from the ages of 6 months up till school leavers. I also worked a few years at a local pre school in Copthorne Village. I have 2 children myself and I look after my 2 Nieces on a regular bases since birth. I also do the odd babysitting job in the evenings.
My Qualifications
Full Paediatric First Aid Training
CACHE Level 2 NVQ in Children's Care, Learning and Development
CACHE Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young People's Workforce
Safeguarding Children and Young People Level 3
Preventing Radicalisation - Awareness of Prevent Level 3

My Availability
I am a Term time only Childminder service. Every 6 months I will send out a calendar of dates that I am available to do extra, such as.. school holidays/inset days.

My son Theodore is with Kim for the past 2 years and he absolutely loves it. Theodore loves his after school days with Kim and I get updates from his school through Kim. Kim is very friendly and caring and provides a safe environment to play. She has got the magic to make my son happy. Her approach has helped my boy gain so much confidence. Any last minute changes in plan or issues is very easily solved by Kim in just a text message. As a working mum Kim is very reliable and approachable.
