Hi I'm Amy. I am 35 years old and have been working as a qualified midwife now for the past 9 years.
I consider myself to be a kind and caring person. Always wanting to try and help people in anyway I can.

My Experience
I have a BSc honours degree in Midwifery.
I have been a qualified midwife now for the past 9 years.
I currently work as a community midwife so I specialise in antenatal and postnatal care.
I look after and support women through their pregnancy and then continue to support them and their family in the early weeks of their baby's life.
I attend regular baby feeding updates allowing me to stay up to date with the latest guidance in breast and bottle feeding.
I undertake an annual resuscitation programme in both adult and infant resus.
I am extremely fortunate to be apart of the homebirth service for Derbyshire and have the amazing opportunity to look after and support families in labour and birth.
Emotional support is also a key role in my job as a midwife and I feel it's so important at such a changing time in one's life.
My Qualifications
I studied BSc honours degree in Midwifery at the University of Nottingham.
I studied for 3 years and became a qualified midwife in 2013. I worked in the hospital setting for the first 4 years of my career, on labour ward and the antenatal and postnatal ward. I then moved into the community setting and have been a community midwife ever since.
