I am completely committed in working for the well-being of all children. I enjoy the outdoors and getting involved playing with the children and also creating different activities.
My Experience
I have over 20 years experience as a qualified Teaching Assistant and Support Worker.
Most of my experience comes from working in mainstream schools and Special Needs, Residential Schools Care Homes, working alongside all types of disabilities and behaviour.
I am currently working at a Residential School ans Care Home taking care of their health and well-being. I am currently looking after children who have profound and multiple learning difficulties which includes personnel care. The service I provides care support worker includes; preparing breakfast, meals, housekeeping, indoors and outdoor activities.
With my vast experience I have looked after non-verbal children which includes; using symbols, sign language, sight and hearing communication skills. My attention to detail and understanding body language, helps me recognise individual sensory needs.

I used Verna for over 1 year after school and on weekends to look after my 11 years son who is autistic and has challenging behaviour. She was completely professional and patient with my son and went above and beyond what was needed to look after him.
I would highly recommend using verna for special needs care and helping to establish boundaries and rules. She is also a great cook and ensured that my son ate well
