About Me
I am an American who recently moved to London a few months ago to get my Masters degree in Dance Film. I have four younger siblings back in the states. Growing up in a big family led me to become compassionate, self-sufficient, and adaptable to my surroundings. I have been a dancer for most of my life, leading me to become a theatre and dance double major for my undergraduate degree. I have taught dance to children and adults alike for over ten years and love witnessing people learn new ways to express themselves through this art form. I tend to look at life through a very artistic lens. I am very enthusiastic and determined when given a project to come together with those around me and work together to get the job done, while still having a fun and supportive environment. I am a people's person who loves interacting with people and learning about their life stories. I am very curious when it comes to discovering new environments and the specificities of wonderment that they possess. I love exploring in nature and discovering all of the lessons that it provides!
I am the kind of person who is always trying new things. I love to expand my hobbies and try out as many different things as possible, as I am a very curious person. Some of my most recent hobbies that I have been exploring since COVID-19 began include hiking, surfing, embroidering, earring making, and learning guitar. Some of my all time favorite hobbies include dancing, cooking, painting, writing poetry, and people watching in parks and airports. I know some basic piano and I taught myself how to play a little bit of ukulele. I also get very invested in sports and card games as I love some good old fashioned competition.
My Experience
I became a caregiver because I have grown up with four younger siblings. I have been looking over for them since the day that they were born. I also have been a babysitter for over ten years for many different families with kids ranging in age from 2-16 years old. This past summer, I was an au pair in Spain for four children where I continued on my journey to fluency in Spanish and engaged the children in activities to help them learn English. Before that, I was an au pair in Hawaii where I was responsible for home schooling two girls (ages 6 and 8) in Science, English, History, etc. I have had many opportunities over my 10+ years of nannying to engage with children in different ways. I love working with children because I think that they are smarter than us in so many ways and there is so much that we can learn from them. Whenever I am nannying, I learn something new from them. There is a childlike energy within me which I think makes it so easy for me to relate to them and get along with them.
I am very involved in the world of the arts. I have been a dance teacher for over ten years where I was responsible for organizing activities that developed children’s physical, emotional, and social growth. I was in charge of assessing each student’s abilities and crafted individualized lesson plans and methods. I have also been a "party motivator" who is in charge of engaging and interacting with the kids at big events. I love to work with children and I have seen firsthand how the arts can affect a child as they grow and develop, adding depth and creativity to their upbringing. I have had several artistic mentors while growing up and would love to give back to future generations, as they are going to heal this world. I absolutely love trying new things and exploring new places. I am very enthusiastic, focused, and organized. Because of these traits, I make sure that the environment remains calm, fun, and collaborative.

My mother tongue is English but I also speak Spanish. I am COVID-19 vaccinated and boosted.
My Availability
My masters program only has classes from Tuesday through Thursday until 14:30 latest so I have lots of availability!
