About Me
TJ childminding service provides a warm, safe, friendly home-from-home environment with a family atmosphere for children from 6 weeks old. In which the children feel valued, and can learn and develop at their own pace. This allows us to provide for the continuity of care for children from a very young age with a valuable source of support for the children and their families.
A variety of activities are provided for the child at various times on various days taking into account the developmental stage and age of each child in my care. Supporting and stimulating each child’s social, physical, intellectual, communication and emotional development through play.
These activities are child-led, following the children’s interests as much as possible. I also plan adult-guided teaching to help your child learn new things or to develop their current interests.
I provide wrap-around childcare services. I drop off and collect children from Walter halls school. I have a good relationship with the school this is both as a childminder and as a parent.
My Experience
I have worked in the childcare sector for most of my adult life in various positions including teaching assistant, playgroups, nurseries, after-school clubs. I have been a registered childminder since 2008. I have level 3 qualifications in early years childcare and education and SEN /SEND
My Qualifications
I have the following training and qualification.
NVQ Level 3 in early years childcare and Education
Makaton signs and symbols course
Pediatric first-aid trained
Safeguarding children trained
Diploma in home-based childcare (unit 1)
Early years foundation stage-trained
Fire safety
Food safety LEVEL 2,
Early years SENCO LEVEL 3,
Dfee Early years Professional Development Programme
My Availability
EARLY YEAR SPACES AVAILABLE - 1 day per week - Thursdays 7am -3pm 8 hours
(15/30 funding accepted if criteria is met, also government tax-free childcare
WRAPAROUND CHILDCARE SPACE AVAIALBLE - Wed, Thurs, Fri mornings only

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
Hourly rate:
Pre-School Children (0 to 3 years) including additional hours to funded childcare
Minimum 3 hours per session £6.50 per hour, per child
4-6+ hours per session £5.50 per hour, per child

Early years-funded children (9 months - 4 years old)
Session times: for wrap-around childcare NO SPACE AVAILABLE AT THE MOMENT.
School-Aged Children - DROP OFF AND PICK UP FROM WALTER HALLS PRIMARY / EARLY YEARS ONLY.
Before School Session (7:00 am to 9:00 am) Includes breakfast £10.75 per child
After School Session (3:15 pm to 5.30 pm) Includes snack/light Dinner/Dessert £13.75 per child.

Teresa has gone out of her way to provide a safe and nurturing experience for my daughter who has additional health and care needs. Teresa's communication with me is excellent, ensuring that I am always made aware of any medication taken or developing symptoms experienced by my daughter during the day. She has offered brilliant advice with weaning and diet and has offered a high level of support to enable my daughter to progress and enjoy her childcare environment. It is a great relief to know she is safe and cared for each day and she loves her time with Teresa. (Review from Mum)

TJ is wonderful, my daughter loves spending time there. TJ provides a safe and friendly environment where my daughter has flourished. I would highly recommend her.

Both my children have settled easily with TJ and are always happy and smiley when I collect them and ask when they can go back. TJ has made a real effort to get to know my children as individuals, their likes and dislikes and is really approachable and helpful.
