My name is Lucy Halten. I am 21 years old. I live with my parents and guinea pigs in Church Crookham. I am a friendly, reliable and approachable individual. I am very passionate about looking after children and providing them with a safe and nurturing environment. In my spare time I enjoy acting, singing and spending time with friends.
My Experience
I have worked in childcare since June 2021. I have mostly been working in nurseries, assisting the day-to-day running of childcare settings, creating bonds with the children and families, completing observations and assessments on a group of key children and planning fun activities that suit their interests and needs. I have also been nannying for two lovely little girls since September 2023, whereby I pick them up from school/pre-school, make sure they are happy, safe, comfortable and fed, take them on outings like to the park etc. I have also had experience babysitting for my colleagues and friends over the years. I am also more than happy to help with general housekeeping/ cleaning and providing overall support to parents.
My Qualifications
I have recently completed my Level 3 qualification in childcare. This qualification covers a whole range of important childcare topics including health and safety, safeguarding, nutrition, the importance of play and comforting relationships etc.
My Availability
I currently nanny for two little girls on a Thursday and also Tuesdays afterschool so unfortunately I would not be able to help you out then. I am also trialling for another position on Mondays and Wednesdays afterschool. I would be available to start from March 2024. I would be happy to do a trial for a couple of hours to get to know you and your little one.
