About Me
Myself and my wife have a five year old son. Our son is a very sweet and energetic little boy. He is a very typical boy who loves Mario Kart and playing board games. He loves reading, watching his favourite shows, solving puzzles, baking and singing. He loves to help our his mummies too. He is meeting his developmental goals. He is very chatty and likes to tell you about what he's been up to. He is usually an excellent sleeper and rarely wakes in the night unless he is wet (which is becoming rarer). He is toilet trained, bar the odd accident.
We have two small noisy but harmless (and cute) dogs. They give great sofa cuddles, but are also very obedient if that's not your bag and you want them in their beds!
My Requirements
We are looking for a babysitter for our son. He is previously looked after, and so new people in his house can be anxiety provoking for him.
Although the time we would like is typically the evenings so me and my wife can start having some time together, we plan to introduce you to him too during day times, so when you do babysit, you are not a complete stranger to him, and someone he knows as a grown up whom he plays with sometimes, and who goes home and comes and visits to help us out sometimes.
We also might on a week by week basis need someone to pick up Noah from school and play with him whilst either of us are in work, until about 5/6. This would be ad-hoc, and some flexibility would be ideal at short notice.
We'd like someone ideally with experience of working with additional learning needs and an understanding of therapeutic parenting (you don't need to be an expert, but it would be useful for the babysitter understand our parenting style by reading about it before).
It would a bonus if you had experience or understanding of looked after children but this will not exclude you from our search.
