About Me
Hi, my name is Sidonie and I am registered childminder. I opened my home nursery in September 2022. I have a 5 year old daughter who will be at home with me when she is not at school. I live at home with my husband and daughter and enjoy being outdoors and being creative. I love being organised and planning fun days out and events. We live next door to Langdon hills recreational ground so visit the park/ forest everyday. We have a large garden equipped with loads of fun things like a large playhouse, trampoline and climbing frame with slide, mud kitchen and sand pit. I work with 2 assistants and have up to 9 children a day. We attend groups regularly as well as outings including the aquarium, farms and national parks.
My Experience
I have 20 years of childcare experience ranging from newborn to 11 years. A large portion of my experience is within schools teaching from reception to year 6. My passion is the early years as I feel it is fundamental to their lives. I have been a room leader and led classrooms in schools. I have positive behaviour management and am very nurturing. We have recently received a good ofsted and I have had my second assistant since January 2024 so there are 3 adults to 9 children daily.
My Qualifications
I have an NVQ Qualification in childcare learning and development at level 2 and 3. I also have HLTA status.I have a first aid certificate and safeguarding training level 2
My Availability
I am available all year round except for 25-30 days spread throughout the year.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
My fees are £75 day which can be anything from 7.30 to 6pm. I charge £45 for a half a day which is anytime from 7.30-12 or 1-6pm.

As a single Mum with a BF baby I was apprehensive about leaving my little one and concerned about how he'd settle when I returned to work. I met lots of different childminders and trialled one, before meeting Sidonie and her home from home setting, Little Rainbows. The care provided is excellent and I am so glad I found Little Rainbows:-
- The contact and reassurance on how my child is doing is crucial for me to focus at work and has been outstanding.
- Support and perseverance with encouraging my baby to take expressed milk means that when reunited, our nights are easier and more restful for both of us.
- Gentle parenting principles and a really caring, nurturing environment which works hand in hand with my own parenting style.
- An honest two-way conversations about my son, his progress, interactions, engagement and working together to support his development.
- A sympathetic approach to a sensitive situation regarding my child's visibility on social media; while not reducing my visibility of what he's doing during the day.
- Sidonie and Bobbi both genuinely love what they do and bring kindness, energy, enthusiasm and creativity to everey days activities.
- Help, guidance and support for me given their background in childcare, but also recognition and regard for my wishes and preferences. (EG. Using some sign language to support early communication with my son.)
- A great balance of playing at home with lots of excellent resources, as well as trips out / getting outdoors.
- Home cooked meals and a selection of healthy snacks which has really helped continue my baby's weaning journey and enjoyment of food.
I totally trust Little Rainbows and am so grateful for their wonderful care for my son. He is my world and knowing he is safe, happy and stimulated gives me peace of mind.

Such a thoughtful and caring childminder with a home from home setting! We were so nervous about leaving our little girl to the point where I almost gave up work and then we found Sid! She immediately made us feel comfortable and reassured us that our baby would be looked after in the way we take care of her!! Couldn't recommend her services more, so glad we met her.

After feeling extremely anxious about leaving my little boy with anyone but knowing i had too, i now have no anxiety what so ever! Sidonie really provides the best for our little boy and she has really helped settle him in and make him feel comfortable! 1000% recommend!

It’s always daunting to leave your child with someone you don’t know but to pick up your child every evening after work to a child who has big smile on her face says alot about the care that is being provided. Sid from the beginning has shown interest in the needs of my daughter and has always made it her priority to make my daughter feel at home - which has been very evident. My daughter has shown so much development over the past couple months and that’s all down to Sid and her beautiful daughter. I would like to thank Sid for all the love and care she has provided. Hands down the best childminder around.

I was really anxious to find an appropriate childcare setting for my babies, but as soon as I met Sidonie I had every confidence in her ability to provide a great environment for little people. Sidonie is calm, practical, enthusiastic and SO organised. I am kept up to date on how the littles are doing and Sidone provides thoughtful, and practical, suggestions on how to ensure they are comfortable while in her care.

I cannot put into words how highly I recommend Sidonie and how lucky I feel to have her looking after my son! After our first initial meeting I could tell how much she loves her job. I know my son will absolutely thrive being in her care. He will certainly never be bored with the amount of activities and toys she has!
