Play and Learn Childcare is very close to the back entrance of Oak Hill Park in Accrington and is a modern home setting. There are 3 different indoor rooms and an outdoor sheltered area dedicated to childcare.
Room 1 is a play room for EYFS ages including soft play and sensory
Room 2 is the school room which is animal themed and full of activities for pre-school ages.
Room 3 is a Childrens eating and
play room which extends into a large outside sheltered play area, so we can play and learn outside in all types of weather.
The setting is minutes walk away from 2 parks, an art gallery, allotments and to the back of the setting is King George's Playing Fields.
Indoor & Outdoor educational activities offered with a pre-school cirriculam, as well as trips out of the setting.
Before and after school club for Lee Royd and Wook Nook school.
Weekend care avaliable.
Overnight care considered when families are completely known.
Fees are lower for full days. Fees are inclusive of food, drinks, snacks, local trips, playgroups, admission to reasonably priced activities. If major trips are agreed to and planned, a small contribution may be asked for but this will be asked first.

I am a 33 years young Childminder working from home.
I have references which have a good description of my character with previous Nanny experience, as well as family childcare experience. Prior to childminding, I taught primary school cirriculam in private education. I still offer private tuition but that is a different service which concentrates on phonics, language and elocution.

My child absolutely loves going to her childminders at Play & Learn and always has the best time there! She settled in so quickly, which really put my mind at ease, and she gets along brilliantly with all the childcare practitioners. It’s clear how comfortable and happy she is, and that means the world to me. I also really appreciate the regular updates and feedback I receive through the app – it keeps me connected to her day and gives me peace of mind. My little boy first started Play & Learn when he was around 3/4 months old, Reefa and the team made me feel at ease and comfortable leaving him at such an early age. He finished around the age of 7 months (due to personal reasons) but rejoined around 14 months and ABSOLUTELY loves it! All the team are absolutely amazing and it's clear from the offset they all have a passion for looking after the children. He is always exploring, learning and developing new skills which is fantastic for his age. The team always provides daily updates on how he has been along with photos and regularly offers progress updates throughout the year. I would highly recommend this setting to anyone looking, the team are fabulous and I can't thank them enough! My little boy loves his Play and Learn family. Xx

My 16 month old has been coming here for just over a month and is absolutely thriving. My 4 year old also attends after school club here and comes for full days in school holidays, he loves it so much.
Both of my children quickly settled in and it wasn't as daunting as I thought which gave me a sense of relief while at work. You're constantly updated on the app about your child/ren.
All the staff are amazing, they know the kids' routines and my kids are so comfortable with them. It's like a homely setting so when you pick your kids up you can have a natter with the staff and they're so helpful and kind.
I went for a childminder setting as I had bad experiences with nurseries with my son and I'm so glad I went with this one.
The pictures on the app, my kids are always so happy and enjoying themselves and they always have so much artwork they bring home 😂
A bonus for me is that they only serve the kids halal, home cooked meals.
Reefa has helped me so much when I got my job and the girls are amazing.
If you're looking for somewhere to send your kids, I promise you if you choose play & learn, you won't look back

I have been sending my 1 year old son to Play and Learn. I was skeptical at first as I am a first time mum so everything was new and daunting to me. I can assure you Reefa and her staff reassured me and kept me up to date with everything going on to ease my anxiety. My child also settled there very quick which is a very good sign. Within a week I was very comfortable leaving my child there knowing he has very caring staff looking after him. Not only does my child have access to many activities, toys and outdoor play at the setting but the staff take the children out to play centres and parks which I think is great!
As a mum I got a lot more than just a childminder. Reefa and her staff Lisa, helped and supported me with sleep training and weaning. They had all of he answers to my questions and concerns. I had no confidence to begin with but have now come out of the other side.
I would highly recommend Play and Learn to anyone looking to send their children to a minder. It is a very homely setting but also has a nursery feel to it. A very positive experience!
P.S They do weekend care too, which I have not seen any other childminder offer in this area!!

Reefa is an amazing childminder!!
I contacted her when I felt my daughter and I were both ready for this stage.
I felt a childminder setting would be a better option as the child to adult ratio is smaller and I got the sense that it would be a home away from home. I knew I made the perfect decision when I met Reefa and visited the setting. The premise is clean, has a great range of toys, books, the setting also has various areas for different indoor activities and great outdoor space. After having a look around I knew my daughter would be happy there. Reefa talked me through how their days are set up and answered all my questions.
As a parent you want your child to be involved in a range of activities to widen their curious minds, Reefa puts on different activities to stimulate the children from going to the park, visting the farm, horses, soft play as well as indoor activities such as science experiments, reading, counting and learning shapes. As a mum, I love seeing what my baby's been up to and hearing her tell me about her day and the new things she learned.
Reefa really works alongside us to ensure our child is happy and settled; she's really made the effort to learn and understand her as an individual which is so reassuring because let's face all kids are different and have go through some quirky phases but I trust Reefa and her team to manage my child's perculiarities.
What I also appreciate is Reefa's style of communication, I am updated on how my daughter is doing and at pick up she gives you a more detailed break down on how it's gone and any concerncs she might have. I also want to add that Reefa takes on board information you relay to her about your child and she'll look after your child the way you would look after them and the way she'd look after her own, this in turn gives you more confidence in your decision to trust her with your child's wellbeing.
I am so glad that we chose Reefa as she really cares for the children she looks after and this is evident in how happy my daugter is.

It took me a long time to find a nursery for my Daughter and I am so pleased I persevered and found Play & Learn. I genuinely can't speak highly enough of them and the team. The level of care and attention to detail is phenomenal and I leave my child in their care with absolutely no hesitation or concerns. It's a home away from home and harder to get my Daughter to leave than stay! By far the best thing about Play & Learn is their passion in developing and teaching the children in their care. I have witnessed first hand the classes and curriculum they plan out for the children. Teaching them about the Poppy on remembrance day and planning activities such as going to soft play and the park as well as education trips to the allotments. Reefa puts her heart and soul into everything she does and runs such a very well equipped nursery. Every activity and game has a follow on and a reason behind it. I truly don't have the words to explain just how amazing they are! The levels they go to in protecting the children and treating them as their own is like no other. They are fiercely protective and will defend/fight for my child and all the other children in their care like they are their own. I love the constant updates and communication, I often feel like I have been with my daughter the whole day. Reefa erases any hesitations and nerves. Can't recommend them enough!

Our son has been attending 'Reefas house'(as he calls it) for just over a month. We originally took him out of a large nursery due to him struggling so much settling in. Wow, the difference in him with Reefa compared to nursery is unreal! he comes home happy, telling us all about his day and the many adventures he gets up to! We get lots of photos and videos sent to us which is so reassuring throughout the day and he is smiling and chatty in all of them. The meals and snacks they have are great, and the structure of his day is a perfect mix of playing and learning. we can't think Reefa enough for giving our little boy a proper chance at making friends and memories while mummy and daddy work, absolute superstar! ⭐

Reefa is absolutely amazing when it comes to her care for my 8 month old little boy. She has made us feel extremely comfortable and reassured that he is getting the best care. Her setting is extremely clean and has a wide range of activities and toys for him to play with. Reefa is extremely friendly and approachable and is very keen to know what my son likes and doesn’t like and tries her best to maintain the same level of care he gets at home. Would highly recommend her to anyone, especially with very young children 😊

Reefa is great childminder, every time smiles, very positive, and have plenty of ideas how to spend time with kids. Gaja is always happy when she go to her. She love to spend time at Play at learn childcare. Also for us she’s very helpful, answer for any single question and help as much as she can. Thank you very much for take care of my daughter!

Reefa has been absolutely amazing with my 18 month old, fitting in to my work schedule and going the extra mile! There’s a lot of educational recourses at hand and an amazing outdoor area where my little one loves to play. I’ve been using her childminding services for a month now and I could not recommend her enough!!
