About Me
Emma's Explorers is designed like home to feel like home with provision for indoor and outdoor learning opportunities, from arts and crafts with a range of materials to bug hunting and exploring in the garden.
I am an active minder where trips to local parks, beaches, play groups, woodland walks, farms and local attractions are part of our daily/weekly learning experiences. From collecting flowers on walks to make potions and perfumes back home in the tuff tray to developing our gross motor skills at the local parks.
At Emma's Explorers all children are treated as individuals and learning opportunities are catered for depending on each child's interests, age and stage of development, having a highly personalised approach for each child. Parents will be updated daily with photographs and reports electronically, putting your mind at rest that your child is happy, content and safe.
All children at Emma's Explorers I provide a safe, secure and stimulating, happy environment.
My Experience
I started my childcare career at college, studying work with babies. Passing this course, I moved to work in nurseries and completed my National Vocation Qualification in childcare.
I have over 20+ years' experience working with children from Birth to Eight years. For the greatest part of those years, I have worked in a private nursery, providing high quality care. I have worked with all age ranges from Baby unit all the way through to Pre-Schoolers. Each age group demanding different aspects of care and needs but all equally rewarding.
I have seen colleagues come and go and even worked with colleagues whom I taught as children.
Childcare has always been a passion for me, and I am looking forward to continuing this more freely by childminding.
I am also a Mum to two very energetic boys who are now 6 and 8 years old

Emma has been childminding for us for a few weeks now, and our little girl (12 months old) absolutely loves her already! The setting is welcoming, homely, safe and full of fun toys & resources; Emma clearly puts a lot of time and effort into providing a stimulating and inspiring play area. We are kept up to date with L's day, with lots of photos/videos and a daily journal which is always a pleasure to read. We would happily recommend Emma to anyone looking for a local childminder in Eastbourne
