About Me
Hello! my name is Sasha, I’m 20 years old and currently studying Journalism at Robert Gordon University. I’m bilingual with English being my first language and Slovak being my second. I have a younger sister who is 12 years old and have grown up to feel like a second mother to her. Watching Disney movies, trying new hairstyles on each other and playing with our cat called Ponyo are some activities we spend a lot of time doing. Some of my passions are dancing, creating art, writing, travelling and cooking. I also love nature and the outdoors!
My Experience
I have past experiences with childcare such as looking after children on the weekends while I was still in High school, sometimes also overnight at the families house. I’ve volunteered for 10 days at a Youth Centre in Edinburgh where I helped with preparing snacks for the children and creating many art projects with them, from dance routines to painting. I have spent every summer with my family in Slovakia and so I have experience with teaching children English in a Slovak Primary school (handing out and marking homework, playing games and singing songs together ). All these experiences have really grown my love for spending time with children and also taught me the responsibility that comes alongside it, such as being patient, having clear communication with the parents and making sure the child feels and is safe.
