My Summary
Creative Arts Educator
About Me
I am a freelance educator specialising in Music (Songwriting, Singing, Guitar) and English (EAL, Creative Writing and Storytelling). I have experience as a SEND and general TA in primary school and nursery as well as a wealth of experience privately tutoring all ages and abilities. I also run Creative Arts workshops (Storytelling, Music and Art).
My Experience
Throughout all areas of practice I have always seen and employed creativity as a tool for learning. As a playworker, a SEND TA, a music teacher, an English tutor, my students thrive with the freedom to explore their creative pathways, feel confident in their learning, safe to make mistakes and build from them. In this way, I am a mind-minded practitioner across multi-disciplines, across curriculum and in my teaching approach and relationships with student and family. I recently took the exciting leap to be self-employed, which I absolutely love! I am working alongside schools bringing music to life (singing assemblies/y6 productions/group and 1:1 Tuition), and adore supporting children 1:1 with their personal development and incredible ideas (writing and recording original music, writing and publishing a book, phonics and English support). I also run creative arts workshops that build on the art of storytelling - sharing folktales and myths for the children to respond in their own way. Previously students have self-published and illustrated their own books, written songs, created theatre productions and more! I am incredibly passionate about the role of creativity and art in everyones lives, especially for young children and believe in its powerful role to enhance all learning, across curriculum and in the world around us.
I am enhanced DBS check, have safeguarding training, basic first aid, public liability insurance and a 1st class honours degree in Songwriting.

A Levels (2019): English Literature (A), Religious Studies (A), Performing Arts (Distinction *), Extended Project Qualification (in French music) (A*)
