About Me
I am 22 years old and I live in Leighton Buzzard. I have experience working both as a room leader in an ofsted registered nursery and as a private nanny. I love nature and the outdoors and enjoy being creative with the children I care for. I have a full UK driving licence and DBS check. I am due to complete my BTec level 3 diploma in childcare in August. I am looking for a full time role as a nanny for a new family as the child I currently look after goes to school this September.
My Experience
I have experience with babies and infants, having worked as a baby sitter several times a week for 18 months. My last permanent childcare role was as a Room Leader at Ashridge Day Nursery. My key duties include managing a team of seven nursery practitioners. I was responsible for ensuring the children are provided with engaging and stimulating opportunities to develop confidence and learning in a safe environment. I was responsible for ensuring dietary requirements are both safe and culturally respectful. I also work hard to promote equality, diversity and inclusion in all practices.
In my present role as a full-time nanny, I passionately set about developing a fun and enriching activity programme aimed at nurturing children's curiosity in the world around them. I work collaboratively with both the parents and children to meet the individual needs and aspirations of the family. I am creative, intuitive and flexible in my approach and pride myself on excellent oral and written skills.
In my present role, we have holistically structured our time together to include cooking days, sports days, arts and crafts, nature and wildlife activities as well as the occasional film and popcorn snuggle on the sofa. I endeavour to create a fertile ground for learning where children can gain in confidence and foster independence through fun and interesting activities.
