About Me
Me.....I have lived in Putney for most of my life, met my husband at school and now work at the same school I went to as a child! I'm a mum to three children and a very cheeky 3 year old dog who between them keep me very busy!
I studied Economics at Sussex University and worked in Finance but re-evaluated shortly after my son was born. I started volunteering at my local Children’s Centre and have worked with children ever since.
I have never looked back and I love my job (although I really miss the salary from those Finance days!). I’m looking for babysitting opportunities locally.
My Experience
My working experience with children consists of play work for Wandsworth Council where I worked in After School Clubs, 1 O'Clock Centres and Holiday Playcentres. Primarily this was with children aged 0-5 but included those up to the age of 11.
After my youngest child was born, I trained and qualified as an Ofsted Registered Childminder. In 2016, I was rated Good with Outstanding for Personal Development, behaviour and welfare. I cared for many children including babies whose mothers returned to work, nursery aged children and school aged children.
Since 2017, I have worked as a Teaching Assistant in a Putney primary school where I also now run Forest School in Early Years. I started tutoring and babysitting in 2022 as a way of boosting my income.
I have a current DBS and an outdoor and paediatric first aid qualification.
My Qualifications
I have a pretty useless BA Economics degree, a Level 3 CACHE in Childcare, Learning and Development, a L3 Forest School Leader qualification and hold a current outdoors and paediatric first aid qualification.
My Availability
I am mostly available after school and evenings as well as the weekends. I do work term time only so might be available outside of these hours during the school holidays.
