Hello, I'm Catherine, I'm 32 years old, and a registered childminder in Woodhouse, Sheffield (S13).
I live with my partner Aaron, in a 5 bed house, with a secure garden. My conservatory, dining room and kitchen will be our main areas used. We have Shirebrook Nature Reserve, a local park, a library and community centre within walking distance from the house.
I have a 4 year old miniature Dachshund called Roly who has been around our friends children of various ages, he absolutely loves playing fetch, going for walks in the woods and snuggling on the sofa.
I am proud to say I offer a small Early Years centred setting, where we loosely follow themes throughout the year but love following the children’s interests to help with our learning. Please note, I don’t currently offer school drop off/pick up unless within walking distance.
I absolutely love sensory and messy play, when I was teaching at weekends you'd find me dying dry rice or making my own playdoh ready to take into school the following week. I love phonics and anything reading related. I have experience of teaching using Read, Write, Inc, Jolly Phonics, Letterland and Letters and Sounds.
As you'll have spotted from my profile picture, I have bright hair, this is something I do regularly and really enjoy, when I was teaching, it really helped certain children to talk as it is a great conversation starter! I've had all sorts of colours, because of this, I decided to name my Childminding 'Rainbows Childminding' :)
My Experience
I'm a qualified Primary School Teacher, I have experience in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I've also had experience of assisting baby massage, baby yoga and baby led weaning sessions.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
Deposit required to reserve a space.
Minimum set charge for 8 hours = £44
Full day (7:30 - 6) £55 per day.
Snacks and drinks provided within fees.
Breakfast and afternoon snack/light meal £1 each per day. (Packed lunch provided by parents)
