About Me
I have been a registered childminder, Little Stars Childminding, since 2020 & I’m thoroughly enjoying my career choice. I live in the Centre of Rothley with my husband & 3 children. My eldest daughter is 16 & just starting college, my middle daughter is 13 & is enjoying her secondary school & my youngest, my son is 7 and a bundle of joy. We are a setting with no pets as that’s just personal preference. I mind children of all ages, the youngest I have taken in is 6 months but would happily take younger & the eldest being 11. All children are cared for in a home from home environment & with a mix of ages as I believe this helps tremendously with their development & getting them ready for school. I have an enclosed garden with lots of room for expression & play. We have a wooden, purpose built playhouse with slide, swing set, trampoline & lots of other ride on toys, bikes & scooters which we have on rotation. We love to go out & about, get messy with paint, sand, water & even mud! We love crafts & try to incorporate special calendar events where we can. We attend local playgroups & library events where possible & also love to take a bus ride to soft play occasionally.
My working hours are 8:00 am-5:00pm, Monday-Thursday & 8-4 on Fridays.
My Experience
I have been childminding for over 4 years and alongside being a mum have looked after children from 6 months old.
I have ico insurance as well as being fully insured by a leading childcare insurer.
I have food hygiene training & have been inspected by the councils food hygiene team.
I have cared for children with intolerances & allergies.
My Qualifications
Level 3 award in preparing to work in home based childcare
Level 3 paediatric first aid trained
Food hygiene certificated
Safeguarding trained

Nikki is an amazing childminder she cared for my first daughter and she currently cares for my 1 year now too. Her home is lovely, her and her family are very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend

Nikki provides a real home from home and has been fantastic for our little boy. We couldn’t have asked for any more. Nikki is so caring a loving and really takes time to bond with the children. Thank you nikki for all you have done for our little boy. Nikkis house is incredibly clean and tidy and I really feel it’s a wonderfully safe place.

Nikki is a fantastic childminder, always willing to adapt to last minute requests. My kids have loved being looked after by her. She offers a welcoming and homely environment - would highly recommend.

Nikki has looked after our little boy on and off around school and in the holidays for the past 3 years and I cannot recommend her highly enough! She has such a lovely homely environment, with loads of different activities for the kids to do. Nikki is so friendly, trustworthy and reliable! He absolutely loves going, It feels like he is with family when he is there.

Nikki is an absolute gem, always has time for us parents to explain what they've done/eaten during the day. They're always out and about and little Isabelle loves going to NikNiks house! She treats everyone like a family and has helped Isabelle in so many ways in her development from walking to talking and beyond. I would highly recommend Nikki to anybody who needs a fantastic childminder.

My son went to Nikki from a year old and he adored his time there. Nikki was amazing with him and it gave me such peace of mind for him to have a consistent person everyday, and someone who obviously cared so much about him. Nikki makes a huge effort to take the children out and about, to the park, library, town, playgroups, soft play, it was perfect for my son who loves visiting different places, and he had lots of opportunity to socialise and interact. Nikki’s family also make the whole set up feel like a home from home which is so special and rare to find in childcare! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Nikki to anyone, she is amazing!

Little Stars (Niki) has exceeded all our expectations as a childcare provider and herself and her family have become an extended part of ours. Her setting really is a home from home and my children are so happy and thrive in her care. She goes above and beyond, thinking of thoughtful and engaging activities, giving each child care, stimulation and security and really does do the best for each individual in her care. The plan was for our child to go to a pre-school full time at 4 but they are so happy, settled and content with Nikki we have split her hours between the two! I would have no hesitation in sending my child to Nikki and am so glad we have had the opportunity to have her look after our children. She is a rare find!

Nikki has looked after my daughter since she was 2 and has always treated her with care and professionalism. My daughter feels very comfortable with her and really enjoys the variety of activities provided, both inside and outside of her home. Now she is school aged and we don't live within catchment, but we always book time with Nikki over school holidays as my daughter asks to go back, and we know she will have a great time and be extremely well looked after. Her communication has always been great and she clearly enjoys her work. I highly recommend her services.

Nikki first looked after my daughter 3 years ago, so when I fell pregnant again I knew there was only one lady I would trust to look after my second child.
Nikki is very friendly and welcoming, she takes the children on days out, has a wonderful garden to play in, plenty of toys and nothing is to much trouble for her.
I would definitely recommend Nikki to other mums.

Nikki has cared for my daughter for 2 years and honestly, I'd have been lost without her. She has just moved on to school and we're both sad to say goodbye. Nikki has also done lots of activities on a daily basis with the children and lots of baking and crafts are always coming home. She helped when she was potty training. My daughter loved going on nature walks and trips to the park. I can't recommend Nikki highly enough, she's professional, caring and the children all love her. My daughter will be going back to her in half terms, I wouldn't leave my children with any one else.
My daughter loved her and her children and loved the setting, especially the garden with plenty to explore and to do. She always had plenty to eat and it was always home cooked food. So much so she wouldn't want to eat when she got home and was always tired from a full on day.
