About Us
Doodles Afterschool & Holiday Care was opened in 2001 by Carolyn Hinds and her husband John in a purpose built building in a quiet rural setting situated just five minutes from Sprucefield and just off the Moira Road in Lisburn.
We are a small, family run, happy, relaxed facility offering quality, reliable childcare exclusively for children aged 4-12 yrs. and geared specifically for the needs and interests of that age group. We have a large, bright playroom with a very comprehensive range of equipment and activities. Children have unlimited access to the most extensive garden & outdoor play area of any childcare facility in the area.
We are unique in that Carolyn is an experienced qualified primary school teacher and can therefore assist children with their homework, ensuring it is completed before going home. This has proved invaluable for busy parents who no longer have to face the evening homework struggle.
Our small numbers mean we can cater for children who may struggle with larger, noisier after school environments.
Our fees are some of the most competitive in the area for both wrap-around and holiday care.
Our ethos is to provide a happy home from home environment where children can relax, play and have fun after a long day at school, away from the school environment.

We are very aware of the current financial climate and therefore try to offer the best value for money service possible.
Our prices for wrap-around and holiday care are probably the most competitive in the area and include breakfast club, school drop-off, school collection, afternoon snack and supervised completion of homework by a qualified primary school teacher.
