About Me
My name is Emily Root and I am currently 21 years old. I have studied at Sheffield Hallam University for the past 3 years, as I have now completed my course ‘Primary Education 5-11 with QTS’. I will have obtained my Qualified Teacher Status in July and I am hoping to be working as a full-time teacher starting in September. I have a large amount of experience working with children due to the university placements, as I have carried out and passed my teaching course. I thoroughly enjoy working with children as I am very positive, patient and caring individual. Teaching is a career I am very passionate about and excited to start.
My Experience
I have worked within 4 school settings within the past 3 years, as part of my teacher training for university. I have worked as a full- time student teacher within a year 4, 3 and 1 class over the course of assessed week placement block. I have also had experience in a foundation and nursery class as part of a short-term placement for one of my university modules. I have a DBS certificate which has been given to me through Sheffield Hallam University, but I would be happy to go through the process of a DBS check within a different company.
My Qualifications
My most recent qualifications are my A-levels, which are a B in sociology and English Language as well as a C in History. I will have completed and been awarded my BA Hons degree through Sheffield Hallam University in July as well as my QTS (qualified teacher status).
My Availability
As I have finished university, I currently have a vast amount of availability up until September, when I start my full-time teaching career.
