My Requirements

Hello! I'm really hoping to find someone who is clued up on attachment-led / conscious/respectful parenting and childcare.

While I appreciate that all parents have different views, for me, my son's attachment and relationship with positive adult role models are much more important than his peer relationships right now. It's for this reason I'm seeking a nanny, rather than sending him to nursery. I'm looking for someone who will be dedicated to giving my son focused 1-1 time at all times while he is in your care.

Initially, I'm just looking for someone two mornings per week who can come to our home to provide support, get to know us and eventually be fully in your care for two full mornings per week. I live right next to Horfield Common so I'm well placed.

This job would be perfect for someone who would possibly be able to build to 2 days per week at some point in the next year, although this isn't essential so please do still apply if two mornings per week is all you have long term. I'm also open to afternoons for the right person if mornings don't work. My son's name is down for the local Steiner Kinder when he is 3, but we aren't 100% set on this and there is a chance that we could eventually increase to 3 days per week with the right nanny or find another childcare option to bridge the gap if you want to stay on and can't increase your hours.

I'm happy to be flexible for the right person. If you're not looking for an immediate new position, potentially I can work with anything from a couple of hours to half a day per week from now too, it can be any time of day initially. Someone who is also happy to do light house things like hanging out, washing, and loading and unloading the dishwasher, and a bit of meal prep is also a real bonus for me, and if you're a dog person, that's an even bigger bonus. If you're not, no problem I can keep him separate.

Even if you think you'd only be able to provide a couple of hours per week at irregular times for now, please feel free to apply. I'm looking for the right person to become part of our 'family' rather than someone who can fit a perfect schedule. I'm happy to work together to make it work. Ultimately I'd be happy with just a bit of help from someone to begin with who can eventually become our nanny if that's how it needs to be. So don't be put off if you aren't free until later.

I have a massive spare room in my home and being just us, I'd also be open to providing the right person with discounted temporary accommodation (alongside what you're paid as our nanny), so perhaps people from outside of Bristol might also like to apply but this isn't a must.
