About Me

I am a primary school teacher working in a school in Stirling. I speak French very well and I have some experience in Spanish and BSL. I spent a summer in France with a French family, where I also tutored their 12 year old in English.

As a teacher, I have always prided myself on my ability to form strong relationships with children and young people. I am a caring, committed, and passionate individual who is dedicated to making sure that no child gets left behind. I am very passionate about meeting the needs of every child.

I have worked with children of all abilities and backgrounds. I have excellent communication skills and I am dedicated to providing individualised and appropriately challenging/differentiated lessons for the children that I work with.

I am very enthusiastic, bubbly, and nurturing, and I am committed to always bettering myself. I have a strong passion for reading, languages, maths, and drama.

My Experience

I am a qualified primary school teacher, working in a school in Stirling. This is my 6th year of teaching post-university where I graduated with a 1st class honours. I specialise in languages, most especially French. But I have some experience in Spanish and BSL. I have tutored maths and English language up to S4 of high school, as well as primary level maths and English, over a period of 12 years.

As a teacher, I have also had experience of working with primary-age children, covering all areas of the curriculum including science, expressive arts, health and well-being, technology, RME, social studies, languages, and numeracy. I also have an abundance of experience in working with children with additional support needs such as ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, speech and language impediments, and EAL. I am a trained Nurture Ambassador for Stirling Council which demonstrates a strong understanding of child and brain development, the impact of trauma, and how to ensure that I am meeting the individual needs of every child.

My Qualifications

I have a 1st Class Honours Degree in Primary Education, with a specialism in modern languages (French). I studied at the University of Stirling where I received a bursary for my outstanding grades in high school. I am also a trained Nurture Ambassador for Stirling Council.
