My Summary

My Experience

I currently work within in a school tutoring across KS1 and KS2. My main focus of teaching has been around maths, writing, reading and phonics. High level of experience working with EAL and SEND children (especially Autism), from personal and professional experience and have been able to manage behaviour effectively and differentiate my teaching well in order to meet all children’s needs and support their different learning styles. During my time as a tutor I work with over 50 children a week, whom require different learning styles, I have effectively planned lessons to suit and meet each child's need, whether they are EAL or SEND, which further build on pupils’ capabilities and prior knowledge. As a tutor I have been working 1:1 with children whom require special educational needs. I Introduced ‘Rainbow talk’ for a child in my class who had autism, this is a technique I have experience in, as it was a method used for my younger brother when he was diagnosed with autism. ‘Rainbow talk’ that used to stimulate speech and language in order to support those children whom are struggling to communicate, through senses. I believe when teaching subjects, it is important to have a range of different strategies in order to support and reinforce children's' understanding of that particular subject, as all children learn differently and require different learning styles. Therefore, during my experience as a tutor in order to creatively develop the curriculum through innovative pedagogy and deepen children's understanding; I have a specialism in drama and plan weekly booster sessions after school in role-play. This gives the children the freedom to explore their creativity. Drama not only places the groundwork to widen children’s creative and imaginative thinking in reading and writing, but it can further aid to improve their self-confidence throughout their educational journey and adult life; forming and fostering life-long learners in and out of the classroom.

PGCE in Early Years and Primary with QTS - Distinction
BA Hons in Marketing – First Classification
3 A Level’s including English Language, English Literature and ICT – GRADE C
9 GCSE’s including English, Maths and Science – GRADE A* - C

My Availability

I am available most weekday evenings and weekend mornings. However during the school holidays I have more availability during the weekdays; mornings afternoons or evenings.

• Tutoring from £20.00 per hour
