About Me
Welcome, parents and guardians. My name is Mrs. Karlene Jenkins-Williams. I am the childminder of Yaya’s Angelz Childcare. Yaya’s Angelz has been registered since August 2019; I have received a ‘Met’ rating from Ofsted. I have five children and three grandchildren. I share a four-bedroom home with three children aged 11 to 18.
The nursery (childminding) is located in the sitting room on the ground floor, which offers sufficient space. On the ground floor are a spacious living area, an additional lavatory, a kitchen, and a closet containing an assortment of early childhood learning materials.
The garden is spacious and clutter-free for outdoor play, with a slide, climbing frame, trikes, mud kitchen, sand & water tray, activity tray with stand, and much more so that your child or children may have fun while learning.
Yaya's Angelz Childcare creates an unparalleled environment. Choosing a childminder is likely the most vital decision you will make during your child's early years. Yaya's Angelz knew that it is essential for your child to feel safe and happy in a comfortable atmosphere for their developmental needs to be consistently met.

My Experience
I have worked in the caregiving industry for the past 21 years, including 13 years with the elderly, autism, and challenging behaviour. 1 year of work placement with nursery and reception children at a primary school, 2 years working as an early year practitioner with children 0-5 in nurseries, 1 year working with 6-11 years old's in an after-school club, and (currently) 4 years working as a childminder.

Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner (Early Year Educator)
Level 3 in Childminding - Understand How To Set Up A Home Based Childcare Service
Level 2 in Introduction to Early Years Education and Care (QCF)
Paediatric First Aid
Basic Child Protection
Early Year Safeguarding for Designated Staff
Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Catering
Advanced Child Protection/ Designated Safeguarding Lead Course

My Availability
Yaya's Angelz Childcare is open year-round: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 07:00 to 19:00 and Saturday, 08:00 - to 17:00, Sunday, 08:00 to 17:00 excluding the following holidays:
- Easter vacation: Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Monday.
- Holiday breaks are taken on occasion, usually in July, August or December. However, Parents/guardians will receive a notification at least 2 months in advance, before the date.
- Halloween - dismissal early (31st October 17:00)
- Christmas holidays: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.
However, parents can request out-of-hours service, which is available for these holidays.

- Oakthorpe Infant and Primary School.
- St Michaels at Bowes CE Primary School.
- Tottenhall Infant School.
- Hazelwood Infant and Primary School.

- Childminding from £8.00 per hour

It's incredible, my baby was happy with her, I felt safe leaving my baby with her, she sent me photos and videos of my baby, she always made sure my baby was happy, she's fantastic, I recommend her 100%. You can always trust her, she will do the best for our children.

Our experience with Yayas Angelz has been exceptional. We've witnessed remarkable progress in our son's learning under her care. Her dedication and expertise have truly made a positive impact on his development. I have been utilising Yayas Angelz for approximately 2 years during school holidays and before school hours. As a key hospital worker, I start work very early and knowing my child in well looked after allows me to carry out my job stress free. The services provided are excellent! My child is always happy and well looked after. He often asks me when he will go again as he has so much fun. I find that the activities are engaging, nurturing fun and tailored to your children's age/needs.

I couldn't be happier with the welcoming, caring and friendly environment provided for my daughter. I couldn't ask for a better person to help her develop and grow. My daughter adores Karlene. I can highly recommend Yayaz Angelz!

I had never used a childminder or nanny before so I was worried when I had to leave my son with Karlene. I must say that she has gone above and beyond what I expected. My son is autistic and there are a lot of things that I couldn’t get him to try in terms of food but thanks to this amazing woman my son now eats his veggies and loves to drink water. She nurtures him like one of her own. She is Godsend and my son loves her. I am so grateful to have her as my childminder. She comes highly recommended.

I found Yayaz angle to be a very positive aspect in my child's life. She has been with karlene since she was 3, she is now 5 soon to be 6. She is really good with her (she has autism). I find for a child minder her place looks like an actually nursery with loads to play sections in and out side the house; from kitchen to shopping corner where kids get to interact as a customer and shopper. My daughter especially loves the costume corner as she love to play pretend. Her language skills has improved and she has become a lot more social. Karlene is very flexible, I cannot tell you the amount of times she has help me out with last minute family or work issues (I am a nurse) . My child feels safe there and is loved and taken care of for years now. She is the BEST!

If you want someone who's going to change timings and plans with no notice then definitely use her. Want someone who oversteps boundaries.? Want someone whose going to make up lies about you and your child and twist your words?. Want someone who is going to affect your job? Make your boss give away your shifts because they don't open the door at the time agreed. She is honestly the worse childminder I have met and do not trust her to watch my child or anyone else's child. Honestly don't use her. She charges her own hours and prices and if you question it be prepared to never get the answer as she will reply with something that has nothing to do with those questions.

Karlene has been more than I could have expected considering how nervous I was to use a childminder for the first time. She communicates frequently throughout providing care. My daughter is well fed and looked after. The environment, settings, and entire surroundings are satisfactory. I couldn't ask for a better person to care for my little one. She loves going to Aunty Karlene.

My daughter has not been looked after by many people I thought I would give her a couple weeks of childminding sessions as I prefer a nursery kind of setting she took on very well to Karline, I was impressed with the amount of different toys and obvious indoor activities and cleanliness of the spaces she uses for the children I felt very relief that I could find someone I felt comfortable leaving my daughter with as I know she would be fed, clean and engage in activities.
