My Summary

My Experience

Below is some information about my experience working in schools, and my time at home raising my 4 wonderful children.
Hopefully this gives you an insight into who I am as a person as well as a professional.

I have good communication skills, both written and verbal.

I have a BTEC Level 3 in Childcare and a GNVQ in Health and Social Care. Both achieved with over twenty years of experience.

I have a sound knowledge and
understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

I can engage and interact positively with children and aim to provide a stimulating and safe learning environment to support their development.

I am confident enough to follow instructions, as well as being able to work on my own using my own initiative as necessary.

I aim to provide a stimulating and safe learning environment, supporting the child’s early learning and development.



I have experience in working with children on the autistic spectrum, as I worked as a SEN learning assistant in a special needs unit in a school in Woodgreen.


During the last 8 years, I have been a stay-at-home mum to my four children. I looked after them at our family home in Hertford.

I loved watching my children develop into the wonderful little beings they have become.

My daily routine consisted of taking them to baby and toddler classes and to activities like mini- Mozart, ballet lessons, swimming, and sports activities.
We also would take trips on the bus/train, to museums, the library, farms, and the zoo as well as the seaside. Implementing the understanding of the world.

It was also important for their Personal, Social and Emotional development to have many play dates to gain relationships with others.

I enjoyed using all my knowledge and experience of being a childcare professional at home during this time.

By having my Early Years’ Experience, I was able to implement the EYFS in my home with my family, such as role play, Expressive Arts and Design, drawing and painting, and construction play, developing fine motor skills by playing with play dough, threading, playing with small world, reading, and playing imaginative games. This ensured my children were happy and entertained.

I Provided healthy meals and snacks as well as giving them the opportunity to help me with the making and the preparation of basic meals and snacks. Using scales to weigh ingredients and reading the method or looking at the pictures to help with what to do next.

I taught them basic life skills such as being kind, good manners and being helpful around the home.

After my BTEC, I worked with a teaching agency for a few years, this gave me great insight in working with a range of different age children in different settings, this helped me develop many great skills during my learning journey.


I currently have a DBS check dated August 2022

I am willing to undertake relevant further training as and when required.
