About Me

Hello!
I’m a dedicated, professional and highly qualified career nanny and maternity nurse looking for a long-term live-in rota position and ready to start next week!

I would love to find and settle into a long term rota role, beginning with a baby and remaining throughout the toddler years, at least until the first year of school. I’m positive, gentle and very loving. I include babies and children in their daily life routines, partaking in activities together, helping them thrive within a positive environment.

I’m dependable, caring and organised. I do enjoy making up games, I’m arty and creative, so love setting up activities in this area and great with in the moment planning. I also believe children shouldn’t be constantly entertained and taken out to programs everyday, as independent play and boredom is also an important part of learning, self discovery, necessary downtime, developing imagination, problem solving, consolidating what they’ve learnt and experienced, enhancing brain development. Being outdoors daily is a necessity for fresh air, to get the body moving, to be active and to allow the mind to reenergise. I encourage jumping in puddles, allow messy play and freedom (within reason!) to express themselves.

I want to help babies and children thrive within a positive environment that is structured with appropriate boundaries and expectations, instilling good manners, to be considerate, kind, respectful, to have a sense of fun, good humour with a positive outlook on life. Giving them suitable responsibilities, showing kindness and compassionate, giving them time to understand their world, so they can unfold naturally and securely.

My Experience

I am career Norland nanny and maternity nurse and my care always centres on the needs of babies and children. With years of experience worldwide covering all age groups, from helping new parents with their premature babies to my oldest charge at age 17 years - she was 6 years old when I began caring for her and her siblings were 4, 2 and 8 weeks, I have a wide range of skills to offer your family.

Over the last few years I’ve focused and dedicated my time to newborns and babies, learning about the importance of those early months, gentle responsive care, and the way in how we care and support our babies leads to all sorts of wonderful developments in brain health and how it effects and cultivates behaviour as they development and grow. I’m a baby-led maternity nurse, gently putting routines in place. The early months are about slowness, being responsive, keeping them close, allowing dependence, listening to cues, and not rushing into rolling, crawling, sleeping through the night. All these milestones happen when a baby is given the time and space to learn about their body and naturally go through process and stages allowing them to unfold gracefully and mindfully.

I am able to cover a range of situations from proxy, temporary, emergency, holiday cover, travel and trouble-shooting positions. I am familiar with various scheduling: 24/6, rota 12/24, working in tandem with other nannies, supervising staff, team lead, live-in full time and short term. I have longevity in my nanny positions and have lengthy maternity positions, on several occasions, extending my contracts beyond 3 months on several occasions. I’m confident in sole charge and have plenty of experience with proxy care and travelling alone with children.

Having had years of opportunities providing an important service to families world wide and in various positions, the most recent being in Abu Dhabi within the royal household, I have developed a more open minded practice, good communication skills and an understanding of the importance of being a team player with family members and supporting staff alike. All my learning, all my positions, all the babies and children I have had the privilege to care for, have all helped me to grow and develop necessary skills in order to a provide the best care alongside the many ways families live and wish to raise their children.
