My name is Michelle, an Early Years Child Practitioner and i live with my 2 children in Shirley. It is my aim to offer a welcoming and loving home for children of all ages. I can offer activities, toys, games etc. I have a playroom in my home that can provide educational needs to children of all ages. I can help to support school age children with homework and reading and young children with all the 'milestones' that they may face. I enjoy trips and days out with the children and find they can learn so much from these experiences. I am a non smoker who enjoys walking and keeping fit. I try to incorporate these activities with my minded children as i strongly believe that children that are healthy are also happy.
My Experience
I am a qualified nursery nurse and have worked in many different nurseries as a Nursery Manager and Head of a baby unit. I have also worked as a Nanny, teaching assistant and a support worker. I have been working as a registered childminder since 2003.

B-tec National diploma in childcare (Nursery Nursing) (NVQ)
A level Psychology
A level Child Psychology
A level Sociology
Introduction to childminding course
Emergency first-aid at work
Paediactric first-aid
Safeguarding level 1-3.
Health and Safety
Basic food hygiene.

My Availability
My hours are usually 7.00am to 6.00pm although i am willing to negotiate these hours. I also do school drop offs and pick up’s to Shirley Heath Junior School, Blossomfield Infant School, Sharman's Cross Junior School and Woodlands Infant School. My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
From September 2024 I will be offering a special price of £35 per day for full time children. To take advantage please quote MICHELLE35 when messaging me. Please note that this does not apply to funded places or tax discounts.

I would love to recommend Michelle as a childminder. She has minded two of my children and I never regretted that decision. She was kind, loyal, loving and fun. I am currently looking for Childcare but I have moved out of the area and I am gutted that I cannot use the services of Michelle. I know that anyone who uses Michelle will not regret it and will instantly feel at ease with her caring nature and wonderful family. We found her to be reliable, trustworthy and would go beyond the call of duty on many occasions.

Would really recommend Michelle as a child minder. I have used Michelle's services before and I was impressed with the service that she provided. My eldest daughter settled in with her straight away and she made me feel so comfortable, that I had no worries about leaving her in Michelle's care. I believe that Michelle often went above and beyond the call of duty. She helped me with my daughter who I was struggling to potty train and she always listened to my concerns even when I panicked as a new mother. I believe that any child in her care is a very lucky one!
