About Us
I would like to apply for the position of Mandarin Teacher with childcare.
I am from Guangdong province in mainland China, so I speak standard Mandarin and I am also fluent in Cantonese. I have undertaken professional teacher training, covering safeguarding, behaviour management, and health & safety.
I love children and I am passionate about seeing them expand their horizons through learning languages. I encourage their curiosity and their instinctive enthusiasm for discovering new things. I focus on ensuring my students can learn Chinese in a fun and interesting way, which allows them to learn about Chinese culture and customs at the same time as improving their language skills.
As a former graphic designer, I like to introduce artistic elements to my teaching, for example using sketches and drawings to illustrate my lessons and bring them to life. One of the key reasons I decided to move from graphic design into teaching was a personal one - thinking about my own plans for raising children bi- or tri-lingually, I realised that helping children to discover new worlds through language learning was something that I felt passionate about, so I decided to leave graphic design and pick up
teaching. I look forward to helping as many children as possible
develop their own passion for learning languages.
