About Me
32 year old, female Primary Teacher with over 8 years of experience teaching across KS1 and 2 in both England and Wales. Worked in SATS year group and Phonics screenings. I have specialist training in SEND teacher including dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, ADHD and Autism. I work ahrd to adapt my teaching to the needs of the individual student and work hard on building rleationsh9ip with my pupils to get the most out of every session.
My Experience
I have 8 1/2 years experience teaching across KS1 and KS2 Primary Education and have worked in several different settings across Wales, Peterborough and Northamptonshire.
I hold several positions of responsibility within my current employment: Year 2 class teacher, KS1 Manager, Phonics and Early Reading Leader and Geography Leader. I previously held positions as Art, DT and Music Leader. This means I have the ability to design a curriculum and implement it successfully to the abilities of all children under my care, including a range of SEND needs.
I have supported children through the SATS and Phonics Screenings bringing a very high success rate to the classes I have worked within and alongside.
I am currently studying an NPQLL focused on improving Literacy in my school and support other schools and colleagues in my area through the Schools Partnership Program. I have previously studied to become a dyslexia teacher and have a very good understanding of SEND teaching and support as I am a member of the Northamptonshire PATOSS group.
Additionally, I am a School Governor which means I also understand another side of school life where logistics and supporting a school in their strategic direction.
