About Me
Hello! My name is Akshana. I have recently finished university with a BSc Psychology degree and I am looking for a nannying job, immediate start. I have learnt a lot about children's developmental needs throughout studying psychology and I personally love interacting with children. I am looking to nanny and am open to also doing housework, picking up children from school, cooking etc. I do not nanny for children under 2 years of age. I am DBS checked and can provide my certificate if wanted.
My Experience
I’ve nannied for a family of two during the summer of 2024, found through childcare.co.uk. I helped with school work, making meals, light household chores, supervising etc.
I’ve also worked closely with children during my studies. For example my work experience at Manor Junior School, where I aided in the classroom, helped children individually with reading and grammar and helped lead a school trip. Additionally, I worked as a Therapy/Counselling intern at BANG Edutainment, a charity that focuses on helping young children, where I facilitated two youth clubs and went into schools to deliver several projects.
Aside from my studies, I love spending time with children in general. I’ve looked after several of my neighbours and younger cousins!
