My Experience

I moved to Bristol a year ago from Kuwait where I had previously spent time volunteering in a Kindergarten as well as with SEN children at a golf school developing hand eye coordination, healthy habits and social skills.

Since leaving Kuwait, I spent time traveling the world, both child, and puppy minding and am hoping to give back to the community and spend time learning just as much from the little ones as they ( hopefully!) do from me.

Previously in childcare work I have done, I have played an overall more supportive role in the homes, helping out with cleaning, organisation, weekly planning, food shops as well as general nannying responsibilities.

When I was volunteering with Kindergarten children I spent 8 hours a week following teacher led curriculum based activities. Personally, my role within the classroom was to encourage “learn through play” as well as emotional management with techniques such as “ puffer fish breathing” when emotions got overwhelming.

In my volunteering role within the golf school, I spent time gently exposing the children, most of whom were Autisitc, to new environments, objects, sounds and people gently, and at each individuals own pace. We had sensory play areas set up as well as activities aimed to develop hand eye co-ordination.

My Qualifications

- DBS Cleared
- A*AA at A Level.
- Maintaining achievement of a first class degree.
- Trained Lifeguard
- 3 years experience working with kids
