Hello! I’m Maria, I’m twenty one and I’ve been living in Glasgow for three years. I study Furniture making at City of Glasgow College, and I’m looking to work as a babysitter because I love kids and I used to do this back in France. I grew up speaking Spanish and French, and I have some experience in teaching these languages, if that’s of any interest.
I love to play sports, swimming, watching movies, music, and interior design!
My Experience
I started working as a babysitter when I was twelve, for my neighbour. Since then, I’ve taken care of several of my neighbours’ children, and they were all between one and ten years old.
It’s mostly been in the evening when parents went out for dinner, and I had to feed the kids and put them to bed. But I’ve also had experiences in the daytime, when I would play with them and take them to the park. I’m happy for the job to be regular (if they need picking up at school on certain days every week) as well as occasional (if the parents want to go out in the evening, for example).
I can cook, tidy up, and help with homework if needed!
My Qualifications
I don’t have specific qualifications regarding childcare. I have my French Baccalaureate with a very good grade, so I can help with academic school work.
I have a City and Guilds qualification in carpentry and joinery.
My Availability
I’m unavailable Mondays and Tuesdays as I’ve got college and activities in the evening (I could do Monday evenings from 7pm). From Wednesdays after 12pm I have no commitments. I’m looking to work no more than 15 hours a week.
