Hi there, I'm Maya -- I'm a 27-year-old young professional with over 14 years of experience in childcare. I'm a dual US/UK citizen originally from New York currently living between Edinburgh and Glasgow. I'm first-aid/CPR certified and have extensive experience with small children (newborns - toddlers) as well as with school-age children and teenagers. I've been a full-time nanny, a weekend date-night babysitter and everything in between. I absolutely love children; I find working with kids to be the most purposeful and rewarding jobs I've ever had. I come from two generations of midwives/maternity/labor and delivery nurses so I have a pretty thorough knowledge of newborn/infant care. I am really active and creative - I love taking the kids out for walks, parks, museums, libraries, story-times etc. But I'm also always happy to find creative ways of entertaining/learning with the kids if the weather is an issue. I'm super adaptable to every family's needs and schedules and am more than happy to do any light housekeeping if need be!
