About Me
Hi, we're the parents of two lovely girls aged 2 & 8. We're a multi-cultural family (French dad, Colombian Mom, British kids).
We're easy going, have a great sense of humour and are warm and caring in nature. We both work from home, so we're always around. Mom and dad are on their early 40's.
Our eldest daughter is in Y4 and goes to school close to our home (4 minutes walking). She's an avid reader and has an inquisitive mind. She loves to dance, make jokes and do arts and crafts.
Our youngest goes to nursery until 1pm. She's funny, sweet, loves to give/receive hugs, dance, sing and play with her toys. She has lots of energy, so she's always on the go!
In a few days, a lovely Cockapoo puppy will be joining our family.
Our nannies become part of the family and we stay in touch with them. Our current nanny is the closest thing to Mary-Poppins. She's extraordinary and has raised the bar very high. She's going on maternity leave, and that is the only reason why we're looking for someone else. We love for our nannies to stay for as long as possible, with our first, staying for 5.5 years. With that in mind, we're looking for nannies, not students babysitting on the side ;).
My Requirements
We are looking for someone proactive, caring, and very professional.
Our youngest daughter attends nursery and usually arrives home asleep (she finishes at 1 PM) and wakes up around 2-3 PM. While she sleeps, we need help preparing the girls’ meals, organising toys, and managing their clothes (laundering, steaming our eldest daughter’s school uniforms, and putting clothes away).
At 3:30 PM, we need you to pick up our eldest daughter from school (a 4-minute walk from home).
Depending on the weather, after the school pick-up, take the girls to the park, play-dates or their extracurricular activities. Give them snacks. We also need assistance with our eldest daughter’s homework.
We're looking for someone flexible to work additional hours during school holidays, inset days and half-terms, also willing to do occasional babysitting.
If you speak Spanish or French, it would be a big plus, although not essential; however, we require someone with a good level of English.
Ideally live nearby.
You should have:
• A DBS certificate issued within the last 6 months.
• An up-to-date first aid certificate (we are willing to pay for it if needed).
• At least 3 references as a nanny that we can contact.
• Experience working with kids of different ages at the same time.
• Good communication skills.
