Hello everyone!
I’m Caitlin, an Australian teacher currently living in Edinburgh. I moved here 6 months ago and am enjoying calling this place my home.
My interests include dancing, singing, scrapbooking, jigsaws, watching movies and cooking.
I enjoy incorporating my interests into time spent with children in my care as it helps to find a common ground and make connections.
I love working with children of all ages. My main priority is to have fun with children in my care whilst maintaining routines and guidelines set out by parents.
I have 7 years teaching experience and over 10 years in babysitting and nannying.
My Experience
When it comes to looking after children I have extensive experience in babysitting and nannying. I have experience working with children ages 3 months to 13 years old.
My skills include:
- having fun!
- preparing meals
- organising craft activities
- organising activities to enhance fine and gross motor skills
- following routines and parent instructions
- small cleaning duties
- homework assistance
- school or nursery drop off/ pick up
My experience includes:
- morning, daytime, evening and overnight babysitting
- before school care (including wake up, breakfast and school drop off)
- school pick up (including dinner prep and homework assistance)
- daytime outings
- group sitting (multiple families)
During these times I have provided excellent care to children of all ages, following parent guidelines and maintaining communication.
I also have over 10 years experience in tutoring children ages 5 to 11 in English and Maths. This includes group tutoring and private one on one sessions. Please let me know if you are interested in this.

My Availability
I am currently on a flexible work rota therefore would be available at various times throughout the week and on weekends.
