About Me
My Name is Tashande, I am 33 years old. I am a mother of 3 children aged 14, 6 and 5. I would describe myself as a person who upholds good morals and principles, I strive to treat others how I would want to be treated. I strive to do my best in anything I do and am not afraid to accept human error as experience leads to growth.
I am very family orientated and am very experienced and confident when caring for children overall being a dedicated mum first.
As a working mother of 3 wonderful children, childcare has been a major aspect of mine and my children’s lives for the past 14 years. As you may be aware, childcare can be expensive and doesn’t always fit the needs of some families working pattern. Being a key worker in the NHS, my working hours didn’t always fit the typical Monday-Friday 9am-5pm; therefore finding suitable childcare came with its challenges. My experiences of leaving my children in the care of others has not always been satisfying which is why I aspire to make a change. This desire for change has birthed the newly opened Gentle Hands Childminding Services.
I understand the need for good balance, and I believe parents should be happy with the care their children receive from childcare providers, knowing high quality is at the heart of the service delivered.

My Experience
I have a range of experience in the health care setting which began with dental nursing, I then went on to do some care work in the community which then led to continuous service in the NHS until I became a Registered childminder in December 2022!
Prior to starting my role as a Childminder in January 2023, I worked on the NHS bank as a recovery support worker in a crisis intervention team (mental health) which was very rewarding. I am able to have a positive impact on the lives of some of the most vulnerable and fully understand the importance of maintaining good balance both physically and mentally which applies to all.
I resigned from my permanent role in the NHS and joined the bank to gain more flexibility so I could complete my studies and training so I am competent and qualified to care for children.
Research has shown that there has been a deterioration in children’s mental health between 2017- 2021. At Gentle Hands the aim is to ensure that children are shown positive reinforcement in a loving environment through acts of kindness, respect and understanding. They will be given a voice to express feelings and emotions in a safe space. They will be able to make choices along with a platform to grow and thrive. Through the variety of resources, knowledge and experience obtained; children will be encouraged to express themselves in a positive manner whilst teaching them ways to manage and navigate through their emotions.

My Fees
- Childminding from £8.50 per hour
- Babysitting from £10.50 per hour
-£40 per day day for school drop off and pick up from 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday at Hillbrook and Franciscan Primary School.
-£75 per day for a full day from 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday
Between 7-8am it’s an extra £10 and £10 per hour after 6pm.

We couldn’t be happier with Gentle Hands! Our child absolutely loves going there and has formed such a warm, genuine bond with both Tashande and Sachia. From day one, they have been so caring, considerate, and welcoming — it’s been such a comfort as parents to know she is in such good hands. She struggled to settle initially, being away from her parents, but Gentle Hands were always warm and support and went through extra mile to help her - and it has really paid off.
The environment at Gentle Hands is truly special. All the children seem genuinely happy and get along so well — it feels like a little community of friends. There’s such a calm and content atmosphere, with none of the typical squabbles you might expect. It's clear that the care and attention the team gives each child makes a real difference.
Since joining, our daughter's development has come on leaps and bounds. Gentle Hands puts so much thought into stimulating, engaging play and activities, always tailored to aid growth and learning. We also love the thoughtful touch of sending home new toys and books for the weekends — it’s such an easy and wonderful way to introduce her to new experiences.
It has been amazing to watch our daughter flourish in confidence under their care. We are so grateful to Gentle Hands for the nurturing environment they create — it truly feels like an extension of home. We can’t recommend them highly enough!

We feel so lucky to have found Tashande and Sachia. They have exceeded all our hopes when it comes to childcare for our son. He was just over a year when he started and they helped us navigate the settling in period so brilliantly - kind and extremely gentle with him, and so communicative and understanding with us too as nervous first-time parents. I trust them completely and feel like we’re a real team. It’s the closest to a home away from home environment we think we could have found.
As time has gone on and our son has settled and made friends, we’ve really seen him grow in confidence. He talks about Tashande and Sachia and the other children at home, and seems happy to get there in the mornings. He certainly eats a much wider variety of food when he’s with them than he does at home too!
He has the opportunity to play outside every day (so long as it’s not pouring) and get involved with so many more activities than I am able to offer at home: crafts, singing, messy play and he’s given the opportunity and choose to try all sorts of different games and skills.
I feel so confident that our son is well cared for and seen for the little individual that he is and they fully embrace his toddler quirks now.
As we move out of London in the summer and will be seeking new childcare, I feel so sad for both us and our toddler to leave T&S. They have set the bar extremely high for what we’ll be looking for next.

It’s difficult to put into words how grateful we are to have found Tashande and Sachia. They provide a loving, calm and warm environment and their experience and the love they have for the children is so apparent.
They have a wonderful outdoor space and so much thought and care goes into the range of activities they plan. Our 15 month old son is so happy there and settled very quickly.
We feel like we are dropping him off with extended family. They are also flexible and well priced. We can’t believe we found them and couldn’t ask for more.

There are no words to describe how lucky we are to have found Sachia and Tashande. Both of us being shift workers we really struggled to find anyone who was able to help us with the flexibility we needed - until we met Tashande and Sachia! We instantly felt that our daughter would be happy at Gentle Hands, the kindness, warmth and calm that both Tashande and Sachia show is amazing and they clearly are very experienced. We had so many questions and they never made us feel like it was too much and were always happy to answer us and often reassure us as nervous parents! They are always coming up with fun creative sensory/messy play and ideas to help with the little ones development and we get sent photos daily of what they are up to. The communication is excellent! They have a great outdoor space where they can get fresh air! They obviously care so much and I know that my daughter is really happy there- she basically leaps out of our arms on drop off and asks after them when she’s not there. We honestly are so lucky to have found Tashande and Sachia and I don’t know what we would do without them. They work so hard and I really believe are excellent role models. We are so grateful!

I was very anxious and sceptical about the fact I had to send my 9-month-old to childcare, I wanted to find a place my daughter would be happy to attend and I have found exactly that – Tashande and Sachia at “Gentle hands” could not have made this process any easier for us. I had a lot of questions when making a choice and I was never made felt my questions were too much. They offered days we could attend prior to starting to settle in which took a lot of my anxiety away! My daughter settled in within a few days and I can now see a smile on her face each morning I take her there - the place offers a lot of activities for children and continuously add something new for the children’s daily entertainment. The change and development I have seen in my daughter thanks to the 2 ladies is amazing! I can tell my daughter feels at home every time she goes.
I could not thank Tashande and Sachia enough – my little daughter is thriving and happy, I get sent daily pictures of her activities and they also made sure her 1st birthday was made special, I could not have made a better choice!

After a long search I am so grateful to have found Tashande and Sachia. They are calm, caring, experienced and exude confidence. Not only do they provide a very safe and caring environment they are clearly enormous fun and the wonderful pictures and videos they shared of my child showed what a wonderful and creative time she had. Sadly we live too far away to make this setting work long term as the travel was a little too much for us. However, we will miss these two ladies very much. Thank you so much for everything you did for our little one.

I found Gentle Hands in a moment of need- we had some changes pre-travel which meant we needed a childminders for a short term. We contacted Gentle Hands and from the start it was professional and smooth. Paperwork was sent across in order and promptly; communication was prompt, clear and straightforward; the willingness to assist parents came through even before we met. Then we did our first visit and met the wonderful pair of sisters, Tashande and Sachia. The aura both of the place and of the sisters was compelling. They just exude quiet and gentle competence and confidence. They are clearly very experienced and the space is lovingly and creatively laid out. In truth, not only did we think we had found the perfect childminders for our child but we felt we had found a friend to parents. Our son attended for a week and if we hadn't had to travel we would have kept him attending. We are still in touch with Gentle Hands. Tashande and Sachia have poured their hearts and all their experience and care into looking after your child. I have no hesitation in recommending this childminders very highly. They care and it shows.

I was extremely sceptical with finding a childminder, then I found gentle hands through recommendations of a neighbours daughter. I’ve made the best decision choosing these lovely ladies. Extremely understanding and they work with you and your child’s needs. It’s like a home from home experience. My daughter always has a great time while with them, she enjoys the different early years set ups that they provide and learns new skills. I always receive reassurance on any concerns I may have. Great pair of ladies. Highly recommend to anyone in the local area or working in the area, you won’t regret it.

After I sent more than 20 e mails in my need to find a childcare, I found Gentle hands. The care that they offer is absolutely great, as a parents they have made so smooth the transition of my son to be away from home. They have exceeded my expectations in the way they care for my son. Found this childminder for temporary childcare while my husband was away on a business trip. Ended up signing for regular childcare. The two ladies are very welcoming, thoughtful and go out of their way to provide everything and more. Being two working parents, we really appreciate the childminder being so flexible and accommodating.
The setup is amazing! With loads of outdoor facilities, activities which are educational, fun and encouraging overall development. The care is outstanding. They actually do want the best for your child, it's touching to see this in today's commercially driven world. Very happy with Gentle hands and cannot recommend them enough!
