About Me
Hello! My name is Lucia and I live with my husband Matt and our 12 year old son Dylan. I am presently an EYFS teacher in Nottingham City teaching 4-5 year olds and intend to start childminding in September 2023, with getting to know you sessions during August.
I live in central West Bridgford and love getting out and about. I intend to spend every morning out with the children using our wonderful local facilities and great places for teaching and learning opportunities such as West Bridgford park, library, river, Green Line and local playgroups. I will use public transport to also travel further afield such as to Rushcliffe Park, Highfields, Greens Windmill and Stonebridge City Farm.
My Experience
I have been a qualified teacher since 1996 and have taught across the primary phase. I have been teaching reception aged children for five years, have received ongoing training and am very confident in tailoring experiences to plan a challenging and enjoyable experience for each child in all areas of learning and development. I have been to agreement trialling meetings to talk about my judgements about the children I teach and have been observed teaching regularly during deep dives and by external consultants. I know where children need to be at the end of eyfs and how to support them to reach their early learning goals.
Furthermore I am presently in charge of the government speech and language NELI programme at my school and was previously a Reading Recovery teacher, specialising in fostering the development of reading and writing strategies to accelerate learning in these areas. I am completing a four day course focussing on Pattern, shape, space and measure, have really enjoyed completing the action research tasks and have been adapting my teaching to include more spatial reasoning activities

Full on Tuesday - Friday for under 5s.
Term time only with possible days over the holidays through discussion.
0745- 1715. I can be flexible with timings to suit if needed.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
£55 per day. Breakfast, drinks, fruit and snacks included. Please bring a packed lunch.
£8 before school care including breakfast.
£12.50 after school care including drinks, substantial snack and fruit.
