About Us
We are a charity run Pre-school that is located in the grounds of Hook Primary school. We offer childcare to children aged 2-4 years. We are open term time only. Our opening hours are 8-3.30pm.
We offer Morning, Afternoon and full day sessions.
We offer a Breakfast club for children aged 2-11years and take them to Hook Primary School.
We are an inclusive setting that grows, learns and develops happy healthy children!

Both my girls went to Step Up and I can give them nothing but praise. It’s got such a homely loving feel just want you want when your child is a bit hesitant to start pre school.
My girls always left happy and full of excitement about what they had done that day and I think it gave them the best start in their school life.

I can’t praise this nursery enough, my little boy has been going since he was 2 years old. All the staff are professional, the environment is very warming and friendly the work they do is beyond amazing. My little boy loves going he can’t get enough. They have really helped bringing him on and it gives him that first step towards going to school, couldn’t ask for anything more.

My kids are always excited to go and always walk out happy. They love step up and never come home without telling us fun story’s.
Last few weeks they have had a fire engine visit and got to play inside. And met two police officers who talked them about what they do and showed them some of the clothing and equipment they use. My little girl was so excited when we collected her. She loves the staff and both kids can’t wait to get there.
Great place for kids and makes us happy knowing How much they love it.

I love my son attending step up pre-school, he could hardly string a sentence together when he first started at step up, he came on so much with his talking I could see a difference in him within a couple of months been there. I also feel nursery helped me loads with his potty training as I was finding it hard starting him off at home, he soon got the hang of it when he started using the potty at nursery! He has come on so much at step up and the staff have been amazing with him.
I love how they involve the parents in the stay and play sessions and some activities they do through out the year. The settling is lovely and clean and there’s plenty of things for children to do.
Sadly my son is due to leave in the next few months to start school which I feel step up have helped him massively to get ready for!
I would recommend step up Pre-school and I can’t wait for my daughter to start later this year!

Both my children attended this setting the youngest leaving only last year.
Both of them loved there time here and settled in quickly. The activities the staff set up vary each day with different themes and topics depending on the time of the year and children's interests.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this setting to any parent looking for quality childcare
