About Me

Hello! I am a highly qualified and experienced Primary Teacher who has recently relocated to Burgess Hill after spending some time teaching in London. I offer private tuition services to local students, specialising in working with children facing learning challenges, including those with SEN, EAL or other learning difficulties. I love helping children grasp difficult concepts and fostering their confidence in their abilities. My teaching approach is adaptable and tailored to suit the unique needs of each student. I have experience with extending and challenging pupils who are academically beyond their age group too. Drawing from my background in Music and Languages, I create engaging and effective lessons. My deep understanding of child development and learning processes informs my teaching practices.

My Experience

I have teaching experience in KS1/KS2 in Primary and SEND settings. I've been tutoring for the past 5 years, previously in London. I also have experience with teaching music. I play piano, violin and accordion. I've taught piano and violin in the past.
I've dipped in and out of childcare depending on my availability.
Private tuition experience with children with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, dyscalculia, ADHD (Hyperactive/Inattentive), ASD, SEMH Difficulties, English as an additional language, Global Delay...
I also provide sessions all around boosting Self-Esteem/confidence, coping with anxiety, managing emotions and behaviours, developing social skills etc.

My Qualifications

Degree in Music and Irish Language.
PGCE (Post Graduate Certification of Education).

My Availability
