Hi, I’m Alyn and I’m 32 years of age. I am super friendly and have exceptional personal qualities, I am honest, trustworthy, calm and methodical and am very much a people person who is extremely child focused and family orientated.
Both children and parents always find me very loving, pleasant, easy going and approachable. Children are naturally drawn to me and I have a very positive can-do attitude. I am a very loving and caring person.
I am from the Philippines and married to a Scotsman, I am a British citizen, my English is fluent and I have lived in the UK for over 7 years, with the last 4 being spent in Lewes.
I am looking to gain my full driving licence this year, but my husband can take me whilst I gain my licence. He is a psychotherapist and also DBS checked.
My Experience
I previously worked in a children's nursery for the last 2 years working with babies from 6 months old to children aged 4 years of age.
Prior to this, I worked in retail, I made the switch to childcare when the pandemic ended my retail job. I have never looked back since and feel that I have finally found my calling and vocation in life.
In the Philippines, both my parents died when I was a teenager and I brought up my young sister who was just 5 years old at the time.
My Qualifications
I am halfway through my childcare level 3 diploma, I am fully DBS checked, I have a children's first aid certificate along with food and hygiene and child protection/safeguarding certificates.

We had the pleasure of having Alyn as our nanny from the time our baby was just 5 months old until he turned one. From the very beginning, she formed a deep bond with our son, and it was clear that they both felt comfortable and happy in each other's company.
She quickly became more than just a nanny—she became a close friend and a cherished part of our family. Her positive attitude and joyful presence always brought so much light into our home. She consistently found age-appropriate activities that kept our little one engaged and entertained, ensuring that each day was filled with fun and learning.
What stood out most was her incredible attentiveness. She had a remarkable ability to observe and understand our son's preferences, from his favorite toys to his preferred foods and activities. There were moments when I felt she knew him in ways that I, as his mother, was still discovering.
In addition to her wonderful care for our son, Alyn was always willing to go above and beyond, helping with housework even when it wasn’t expected. For instance, she often tidied up his (baby) clothes and kept his space organised, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated gesture.
We are so grateful for the love and care Alyn provided. Any family would be incredibly lucky to have her.

Alyn has been fantastic since day 1, looking after our 18 month year old boy at home on his days off from nurseries so mummy and daddy can work! She’s been extremely flexible whilst share her own ideas and experience working with babies and children.
Our son absolutely loves alyn and always laughing on days he spends with her whilst also listen and learn new words, colours, numbers and other activities alongside good manners like “please”.
This was our first experience with a nanny and alyn has for sure set a very high standard! Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic and full of love and care looking after your baby/child

We are so glad to have Alyn in our life as an amazing childminder for our 4yr old boy and 15 month old girl.
Alyn spent at least one day a week with us over the summer, while we were waiting for school and nursery places: we hope to keep in touch and see her again soon in the future.
Alyn is punctual and loves being with the children. She is able to balance the needs of both and they love being around her. Alyn takes a genuine interest in the children, makes time for their observations and engages in their conversation.
She takes the children outdoors every time, to the park or playground (often twice) and has the energy to match them.
Alyn keeps us in the loop of their day by sending the occasional photo and they are always having so much fun together in the pictures. Overall, Alyn is great at communication and quick to respond to our questions via email or phone.
She looks after both the children in our home and is incredibly supportive by completing small household chores on her own initiative: never expected by us, yet always appreciated.
Alyn is a wonderful addition to our family dynamic and we whole heartedly recommend her services as a childminder.
