About Us

The Avenues Montessori Nursery is in the Cliftonville area of Margate. It is located within walking distance of the local library, Northdown Park and Margate beach. We are passionate about Montessori inspired philosophy. Montessori nursery is not just about learning, it is about sparking curiosity, encouraging exploration, and helping children develop their natural interests, learn through hands-on experiences, and acquire real-world skills.

The Avenues has two exceptional, well-resourced and stimulating rooms, that have been carefully designed to enable the children to explore at their own pace. Both rooms give children the opportunity to free flow from indoors to outdoors throughout the day.

The baby room provides a calm, nurturing and caring environment, with a variety of different age-appropriate areas to support children’s learning, development and wellbeing. The children have access to their own private courtyard garden. The Pre-School room aims to support the children with their transition to school. The room has resources that are easily accessible and have been carefully chosen to develop confident and curious learners. All the children also have access to a beautiful forest area where the children can explore without limits, being able to take risks as well as extend their social and physical skills.

The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, inspired by the Montessori approach, fostering meaningful connections between children and the world around them. These classes help to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.
