About Us
The Avenues Montessori Nursery is in the Cliftonville area of Margate. It is located within walking distance of the local library, Northdown Park and Margate beach. The nursery provides full time and part time care for children aged 0-5 years.
The Avenues has two exceptional, well-resourced and stimulating rooms, that have been carefully designed to enable the children to explore at their own pace. Both rooms give children the opportunity to free flow from indoors to outdoors throughout the day.
The baby room provides a calm, nurturing and caring environment, with a variety of different age-appropriate areas to support children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
The children have access to their own private courtyard garden. The Pre-School room aims to support the children with their transition to school. The room has resources that are easily accessible and have been carefully chosen to develop confident and curious learners. All the children also have access to a beautiful forest area where the children can explore without limits, being able to take risks as well as extend their social and physical skills.
The Avenues follows the Montessori approach to teaching which is based upon hands-on learning and collaborative play. We give children the opportunity to make creative choices with what they want to learn, and the Montessori teacher will observe what they do and how they do it.
We are open from 7:30am - 6pm Monday to Friday for 51 weeks of the year (we are closed at Christmas and on bank holidays).
