My Summary
About Me
I made the exciting career switch from 8 years as a reception class teacher (16 years in primary teaching) to childminder in 2023. I am passionate about all things play and exploration; I love helping children answer their many questions. I provide a fun, safe and caring home environment, with a focus on explorative learning. I love supporting children and babies in their development and strongly believe that feeling safe, loved and happy is the key to success.

My Experience
I have 16 years experience of primary teaching, specialising in Early Years. I have been a leading teacher and moderator, with a particular interest in phonics and early reading. I have extensive experience with working with young children of all abilities and ages. I am an outdoorsy person who loves helping children explore nature and find out about the natural world. I have some forest school training, so ensure children have an opportunity to access the outdoors in all seasons (painting the snow and creating leaf sculptures are a favs of mine). I have a daughter born in Aug 2022. We attend social groups on a weekly basis and spend lots of time walking, visiting parks and playing at home using play dough, paints, cooking sessions and sensory activities.
