Our Summary
About Us
Our nursery in Northfield is set in a period property to the south of Birmingham, making it perfect for families who live locally and in the nearby villages of Bournville and Longbridge. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.
Inside, the nursery has six rooms which are equally split into rooms to accommodate babies, toddlers and Pre-School. All the rooms have plenty of space to explore and investigate, as well as to promote children’s curiosity and their drive to learn new things.
The baby rooms are equipped with low size furniture that allow children to develop balancing and walking skills. The dedicated staff provide a range of natural and stimulating resources engaging children in messy play, painting and texture exploration.
The toddler rooms have plenty of opportunities to explore colours, shapes, books, music and dance through a well-balanced curriculum with emphasis on a child’s individual needs.
In Pre-School we support children to understand and manage their emotions by encouraging to talk and share their feelings with adults. The children learn to share, treat everyone with respect, care and compassion with the support of nurturing staff.
Outside, there is a spacious and inviting garden where children can run around, with areas that can be used all year round. We have plenty of resources including places to climb and explore as well as a nature area.
We have established strong links with teachers from the local school to ensure a smooth transition from Pre-School, with visits to get used to the new environment.
We are located in the South Birmingham with an easy access to parks and woodland areas, where children can learn about nature through well planned forestry sessions. In addition, regular visits to a local church, library and a retirement village complex allow children to understand the world around them.
