My Experience

I have 15 years of experience as a Teaching Assistant, Higher Level Teaching Assistant, Emotional Literacy Support Assistant and Tutor (primary age and school-avoidant secondary).

I have SEN and behavioural experience having worked as a member of a primary inclusion team for many years as well as in a number of schools - reception to secondary, mainstream and special schools and in residential children's homes.

I have set up and run art and gardening clubs, worked as a one-to-one tutor, helped children of all ages understand and remove their barriers to learning.

I am well known for my patience with children and have had lots of success teaching children of all ages to read and write - where they have struggled at school.

I have worked with children with autism, ADHD, visually impaired, ODD, FDD, school-avoidant and selective mutes. I have my own lovely son as well as 4 nieces and 2 nephews.

I love working with children and am known to be patient, fun and able to put in behavioural boundaries.

My Qualifications

Certified HLTA and ELSA, OU Open degree in counselling fear and sadness, educational psychology, educational philosophy, Working Together with Children, Family Meanings. BTEC HND and ND in design/art. Recent training in safeguarding children, food hygiene and handling, PREVENT. Previous training in lego therapy, first aid and many others.

My Availability

Mainly available ad hoc in school holidays, or babysitting. Local work only please ie Portsmouth.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £11.00 per hour
• Nannying from £13.00 per hour (gross)

Babysitting £11 an hour, £12 an hour after midnight (when children are in bed or heading that way). Nanny-ing £13.00 an hour (when children are awake)

Tutoring £15 an hour - minimum one hour

Due to my permanent role in a secondary school I'm available during school holidays, not during normal school hours.
