About Me
I am a retired teacher who has been a part time nanny ( before and after school care) for 4 years. I can offer homework support, afterschool activities or driving to planned activities as required during the week - preferably Mon-Thurs. I can also offer Maths support (1:1 or small group) up to GCSE level : I have a passion for making Maths make sense whatever your ability. I build confidence in the subject allowing pupils to achieve well beyond previous expectations. I can work with children as well as adults studying for Maths qualifications later in life. I have full DBS status.
My Experience
Having taught in a variety of primary and secondary settings over a 35 year teaching career (ending with 7 years teaching Year 6: 11+ entrance) I retired in 2020. Since then I have loved pursuing my own interests alongside working with a single parent family by taking on before and after school care (including driving 11 miles to and from school, homework support and a range of craft and sporting pursuits) for a child year 3 through to year 6.

My Availability
For part time nanny role: Mon - Thurs am and pm availability, Friday also a possibility. For maths tutoring I can do a regular evening lesson but I specialise in planning and delivering intensive blocks of 10 lessons over school holiday periods.

My Fees
- Nannying from £13.00 per hour (gross)
Part time nanny approx £13 per hour dependent on distance to travel
Maths tutoring: approx £30 per lesson. Fees depend on a pupil's age, the length of the lesson (1 hour or 1.5 hours) and how many sessions are booked. The fee includes my travel costs.
