About Me
Leanne's little Learners Opening September 2023 for all childminding needs. I am OFSTED registered and have a custom built learning lodge in the garden, full of beautiful resources to enhance learning for children aged 0-5. My home is situated overlooking the River Mersey and next to Portsunlight River Park, so lots of beautiful exploring in nature together is planned. I am a lover of children's literature and will provide a language rich, nurturing environment for your child to grow in my care. I also adore arts and crafts and love helping children express their creativity. I am a mum to 4 beautiful children aged between 11-18 and will provide a home from home environment for my little learners.
My Experience
I have worked in early years for 6 years in an outstanding preschool. During my time there i have worked with SEN children, on a 1:1 level to support and help them access the curriculum by adapting activities to meet the varied needs of the children in my care. I have delivered speech and language interventions and also trained in autism awareness and down syndrome awareness. I have have experience in makaton communication. When i was not working as a 1:1 I worked as a key worker for 9 children in the preschool, i assisted the teacher in delivering daily phonics and maths sessions, so have lots of exciting ideas to bring literacy and number into early play. I am level 3 trained and have full paediatric first aid, food hygiene and safeguarding certificates. Before my time in Preschool i was lucky enough to be a stay at home mum for 8 Years I treasured this time and found my love for child development. There is nothing more magical than being part of a child's development and watching them explore and begin to understand the world around them.
