Hi, I'm Chevon! I am a hard working student at Glasgow Uni, studying an MA in Psychology/Music. (PVG March '23)
I have previous experience with children after volunteering for years with various programmes. I have a passion for education and development in children. I am a naturally very empathetic and caring person and often get along with children of all ages.
My Experience
Working with children is such a rewarding experience, and since I was younger I have always set time aside to volunteer with charities that support children and families. Some charities I have volunteered for include, Brownies/Rainbows, Scouts, and most recently, IntoUni. Into Uni is a mentor programme where work 1 on 1 with a young person, working towards their future.
I also volunteered with the local woodcraft folk group, working with various age groups but mostly children under 9.
I always try to introduce an educational aspect (while also having fun!) when working with children that helps develop them in their many areas in their life.
I have of course experience looking after family. I have a big family with many cousins, and growing up I was always asked to help my aunts, uncles and cousins out!
