Hi! I’m Michelle, I live in Leagrave with my 3 children, husband and our cat. I offer home from home care where the child is at the centre of everything I do.
My Experience
I am fully qualified in early years education, first aid trained, up to date on all relevant training and have 16 years experience with my own children. I have worked in nurseries for 5 years and have been a childminder since October 2023.
I am passionate about creating an environment where your child feels safe and settled because I know this will allow them to develop to their full potential.
My curriculum is designed in line with the EYFS and will encourage your child to try new things and hone the skills they already have. We will celebrate many different celebrations throughout the year as well as days such a national pizza day when we will make our own pizzas!
We will spend time in my home from home setting in the newly finished, custom designed childcare area as well as trips out. These trips will include the zoo, gymnastics play group, toddler groups, local parks and woods and swimming.
I am flexible, loving and passionate about childcare.
My Qualifications
Level 2 Early years education and care
Level 3 Diploma early years educator
Level 3 First aid training
Level 3 Safeguarding children
Food hygiene
Allergy awareness
I am up to date on all relevant training.
My Availability
I am open 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday. To fit with my own school runs morning drop off is between 7:30 and 7:45 or after 9:15. Afternoon collection is either before 2:45 or after 4:15.
I am open all year round with the exception of bank holidays and my own personal holidays. Parents will be given the dates of these before signing a contract with me.

Michelle is a kind, caring and wholesome person. My son adores her, she is wonderful with him.
Her home has such a warm feel too it. I like the fact that her setting is that of a childminder but she has also incorporated educational activities and information. Including the children learning about the different seasons, events all year round.
Thank you for being a loving caring child minder. It eases my mind whilst I'm at work to know that he is well looked after.
And your updates when I was anxious at first put my mind at ease.

Michelle has a lovely setting and my daughter absolutely loves going there! Never had any issues and Michelle always helps me out where she can if I have any extra days needed! Very happy with Michelle :)

Michelle has been looking after our son for a few months now, from when he was 11 months old and we could have had a better experience.
Although our son is only 14 months old now we can tell he really enjoys his time with her and has often come home with crafts that they’ve been working on too.
We can see that Michelle genuinely cares for the children she works with and also their development too, which is really lovely to see.
Couldn’t recommend a childcare setting more.

After an unsuccessful start to a childminding placement I came across Michelle through a mutual friends recommendation. I initially loved the look of her set up and booked a trial for my twins.
They absolutely loved being in her care, and now call her their 'best friend.'
I love receiving updates throughout the day and the photos are lovely to see what they are getting up to.
I would truly recommend Michelle to anyone. She is fantastic.

Michelle has looked after my daughter since she was 1 year old & she treats her like one of her own. Her home setting is very welcoming & Michelle has even taken Ivy on a zoo visit. I enjoy the photo updates I get. Michelle goes over & above to accommodate & be flexible to our childcare requirements. I would highly recommend Michelle

My little boy had been for a trial and was due to start, 3 days before I go back to work after being told that he was good to start I was told she now didn’t have the space!
Seemed to good to be true and it was!

Unfortunately after your visit one of my existing parents contacted me and asked to increase their hours.
I have a loyalty to my parents and didn’t not want to turn them down as they have been with me for a few months already.
I explained to you that unfortunately this meant I couldn’t take your son as it would put me over my ratios.
I offered to give you the number of another childminder but you did not respond to my message and have now left me this negative review.
I would also like to add that no contracts had been signed.
Michelle has looked after both my children and I highly recommend her. She creates a true home from home environment, and looks after children with real genuine care. The activities she provides are great. With a lovely focus on making things and craft activities. She’s experienced and puts children and parents at ease.
