About Me
I’m Katie, and I live in Bodicote with my husband and two children (nine and two)
I believe in giving children a nurturing and natural environment to grow, learn and play in. The children and I are out everyday, exploring the world around us, or building relationships within our community.
I am currently full, but will have one full time (Monday to Friday) space available for the summer. (July-September)
My Experience
For ten years I have been working with children and young people with disabilities, initially in a short stay service, and then in a young lady’s own home. The disabilities range from Autism to complex Cerebral Palsy. I have throughly enjoyed these roles, working with families and professionals alike, but now have the ability to care for children in my own home, as well as caring for my own children.
My Qualifications
BA in Psychology
Level 3 Health and Social Care
Paediatric First Aid
Mandatory training to become a childminder
Enhanced DBS certificate
Safeguarding
I also hold training certificates for the safe administration of medications, Epilepsy awareness, and administration of emergency medication, Manual Handling, Gastrostomy, Autism awareness.
