My Summary
"Passionate And Caring Childminder Providing A Safe And Nurturing Environment For Little Ones"
About Me
Dear Parents,
I am a childminder with over 5 years of experience, and I am also a mom with 12 years of experience. In September 2024 I was graded GOOD in all areas by Ofsted.
My home provides a comfortable environment where children can come out of their shells and be themselves. It's a bonus that my house is located opposite a playground where children have so much fun (SN3 2EW).
Play is a vital component of early childhood development. Through play, children explore, experiment, problem-solve, and develop their creativity, imagination, and social skills. Play-based learning encourages hands-on experiences and allows children to make sense of the world around them.
Parents and caregivers play a crucial role in supporting a child's learning and development in the early years. Engaging in activities at home, providing a nurturing, stimulating, fun environment, and establishing positive relationships with children can greatly enhance their growth.
Communication and language are prime areas in the EYFS and can be challenging for children to develop later on. In my setting, language development is supported in a playful environment filled with stories, songs, rhymes, sign language, and imaginative play.
Being able to participate in children's development is a rewarding and impactful role. I provide messy play activities in my setting and also take children to messy play classes. Why is messy play so important?
Messy play is the open-ended exploration of materials and their properties. Children are naturally curious, and messy play engages their senses at a developmental level that is appropriate for them. They learn foundational cognitive principles while exercising motor, language, and social skills. Messy play offers one of the best integrated learning experiences young children can have.
Messy play builds foundational skills that are crucial for children's later development. It is one of the most important kinds of early learning experiences we can offer to infants and toddlers.
Please feel free to contact me and arrange a visit. I am flexible and always do what I can to meet all parents' childcare requirements.
I have plenty of photos as examples of activities we do in a setting for you to look at. I can send them out upon request.
I am available to provide references upon request.
Thank you,
Monika
My Experience
I have been providing childminding services since 2019. As a proud mother of two children, aged 12 years and 5 years old, I understand the joys and responsibilities that come with caring for little ones. I have pursued formal education in childcare and have obtained the necessary certificates. To ensure that I offer the best possible care, I continuously update my knowledge in the field.
When planning my weekly activities, I take into consideration each child's individual interests and preferences. My primary goal is to establish a strong working relationship with parents, where they feel confident and content leaving their children in my care. I value open communication and actively listen to parents' views and concerns. Working closely with parents, I share information about their child's learning progress, documenting their learning journey. Additionally, I provide details about the activities their child enjoyed the most, including the stories we read, songs we sang, and more.
Over the course of my childminding experience, I have had the opportunity to care for children with various needs. This includes children with special needs, those with English as an additional language, children with challenging behaviour, as well as gifted children. I find great fulfilment in working with children because each day is unique, filled with fun, and offers countless opportunities for engaging activities.

My son has been with Monika for 10 months in that time he has developed immensely , she has helped him grow and learn. He’s Nearly 3 and can say all his days of the week and put on his own shoes and I couldn’t be more proud. She is a great childminder and we will miss her.
It has been an absolutely amazing experience to have our children in the care of someone like Monika. When we moved to Swindon, we were worried about what it would be like (as we were moving away from family who we could have relied on for help) to have our child in care for so long as we both work full time. Within a short period of time, our fears were allayed and we are happy with the way the children respond to Monika's setting.
Some of the qualities we most value that Monika brings to Happy Days Childcare are:
Patience, Highly Responsive, Awareness of the child's needs and wants, Creativity, Excellent communication, and Reliability.
However, the best review actually comes from our children who say that: "Monika does the most amazing activities".
